I've been to both Cafe Gratitude and Millennium. We go to Millennium when we want to celebrate something special. They are both very good restaurants. I have not been to Weird Fish, but my daughter loves theirfood. Herbivore is one of my favorite spots to eat in SF with my daughter. And a great place for Vegan ice cream is Maggie Mudd's. Can't go wrong with the great choices in San Francisco.
Do you have a list of book tour dates? I'm a Nor Cal girl, so bummed I missed out! If you make it to Sacramento, CA we have an incredible Ethiopian resturant with amazing vegan food!
How did you like your Portland visit? It was great to meet you and we LOVED having you come visit. Portland is such a foodie, veggie friendly and green city. I hope you got to experience it. If not, come back! :-)
Alicia, you sure missed out on Weird Fish. It is awesome! I am going there Friday for my birthday. It was great to meet you at Book Passage in San Francisco. SO glad I didn't miss it. I just got done eating a choc. peanut butter cup and plan to make my birthday cake tomorrow from your cupcake recipe!!! thanks again. You've done more for me than you'll ever know!! Such an inspiration!.
Good to know about Slanted Door and Pure Food and Wine. I am hoping to go to san francisco in the next few weeks and was planning on dining their but instead I'll try Wierd Fish, but I still am going to try Pure Food and Wine this holiday season. I never had a chance to dine their when I lived in NYC and now that I'm vegan I am for sure going. This is day 11 of being Vegan. I absolutely love the caesar salad dressing. I made that on tuesday with homemade roasted cauliflower curry soup. Tonight I having a pumpkin carving party so I am making your cornbread....so excited with a vegan chili. You and your book are truly an inspiration to helping me become vegan.
