I stopped by Health in a Hurry today in Fairfield, CT. Laura (I think that's her name!) was very warm and welcoming. I really enjoyed the seitan chili and highly recommend the brown rice krispies dessert.

Does anyone know of any support groups in CT close to Middletown? I just recently went vegan and am looking to get together with others who share the same intrest.

Hi Michelle, I'm near Middletown.  (My husband and) I just recently went vegan too!  I'm not aware of any local support groups, only because I haven't really looked for them yet.  But, I'm sure if you go, or call, It's Only Natural - the restaurant or the grocery store, they might be able to provide suggestions for resources as well.  They're both on Main Street.  I'm a big fan of both too...

I know I'm so super late but I'm originally from Boston (now living in NYC) and everytime I go for a visit I try to find (and eat at) another vegan spot.  I've now been to two very delicious spots - Red Lentil (Watertown MA) and True Bistro (Somerville MA).  True Bistro is gorgeous inside and the food was AHmazing.  The food was also super delic at Red Lentil and I will be going back again and again.  Happy (vegan) Eating!!
