Thank you Tevia.  I've been looking for that.
I bought the book today, on page 40. I have never been a vegan or vegetarian, I started two days ago when I saw Alicia on TV. It's not so hard. So far the book is very eye opening. Can't wait to get to the recipes, I don't want to peek. Thank you.

you're welcome Blake!
It's SO funny that you mentioned Alabama specifically in your video clip.  I am moving from Arizona to Alabama soon and I've looked all over the internet for Vegan restaurants, health food stores, and eco-friendly housing in the Fort Rucker area and I've found NOTHING.  I hope you're right and that people post lots of healthy, groovy stuff to do there!  :)

Thank you, Alicia, for such an informative, easy to read book full of lots of yummy recipes.  And, for being another face on the forefront of global awareness.  All the best!

I went to Safeway last night and the people that work there are like, "what's vegan?  Is that a brand?"smiley-laughing.gif  So I'm talking to the store manager and I'm all, "yeah the vegan lifestyle is spreading fast..." and on and on.

Now I know how skin gets so vibrant being a vegan.  It gets lots of excercise from crawling like when you read page 19.
I would like to know what hair products you use. Your hair is so shiny and looks so healthy!
Alicia,
I love your book & want to tell you that I have seen the miracles of vegan! My cousin used to be overweight & very unhealthy until he did the 10 day residential program thru Dr. MacDougall you mention on pg 14. He became vegan, lost lots of weight & rode entered a bike race called the death ride where he made it 75 miles that's a lot of hills.  I'm so glad you are helping to spread the word that vegan is healthy!

Loved this book!  I have to admit, I skipped ahead to the recipes first, but I'm glad I did because I'm making one of them tonight!  Yum!

You're beautiful Alicia :)

I've been vegetarian for 18 years now.  Just picked up "thekinddiet" yesterday and I'm SOO looking forward to seeing/feeling/experiencing and savouring how this book will enlighten me ~  I'll let you know as I go.................

And question marks aren't necessary anyway.

Totally looking forward to starting tomorrow....

I do however have a question. Q: the carrot-daikon tea...should I just drink the water? or am I supposed to eat the carrot, daikon, plum and nori?
