Ty-K Berry: yes!  it's fine.  Go ahead and get the dry ones and follow the instructions.  Or you can make your own crust!

Jennifer,

I make a Great string bean casserole.

For the soup....I make it creamless mushroomless cream of mushroom.  It does take a bit of time and finnickieness.

Get some corn starch and soy milk.  Boil 2-3 cups of soymilk, and keep one cup on the side, very chilled.  Mix in a teaspoon of starch to the chilled soymilk, and add a dash of that to the boiling soy.  If it doesn't start to thicken in a minute, add even more starch to your chilled soy, and try that.  I usually have quite a lot of starch in by the time it goes, and suddenly the boiling soy goes from milk to Very thick stew.

You'll want to add salt seasonings, etc to the stewstuff, as the soymilk will be a bit sweet.

You'll have 2 cups stringbeans and fried onions in your casserole tray.  Pour your stewstuff over it and bake it.

I usually do that much the night before, and then add some more onions to the top the day of and re-bake it to make it hot.
Thank you!!!
