Thank you Jason- hey can you help me with something? How do I get my profile pic to show up in the small little smiley face box next to comments, etc.?!  ( i am a novice)
Nicole, you'll want to click 'Edit my profile', then click 'My Avatar'.  There you can browse to upload an image, crop it to your liking and set it as your avatar.  PM me if you need further assistance.

Thank you!
Thanks, Jason!
I just started reading , The Kind Diet,  a real Newbie! Thanks!
Thanks Jason!!

Love the Kind Diet!!  I finished it about a week ago, but I carry it around like a dog with a bone (or a carrot!!).  Full of great stuff!!  Thank You Alicia!!!
Thaaankyou :)

Hello.  I want to thank you Alicia for guiding me back on track!!   For the past 3 years I have made major changes and working my way to becoming a vegetarian.  I starting to realize that it was not a diet of counting calories/fat, but one that was holistic for my mind and body, and along the way channeled me to a more eco-friendly lifestyle.  Unfortunately within the past few months, foodwise, I have been more of a major "flirt".  But recently after coming across your material I want to say THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH!  You have made a great impact, reminding me of why I need to get back to the way I was before.  Its going to be baby steps for flirting with the vegan diet because as a student I cant afford some foods you suggested. g yesterday, I have and will continue to eat meals consisting of vegetables, fruits, grains, beans and nuts.  I look forward to getting the chance to read your book and I just finished listening to the great interview you had on GPR :)

I'm not sure if you have tried this type of salad, but it consists of shaved green cabbage, grated green apples, pomegranate seeds, and apple cider vinegar.  I had it recently at my boyfriend's friend's house and then made it for my sister's thanksgiving dinner.  Its so yummy and refreshing!!
servings : probably 6
1 green cabbage -shaved
2 green apples- grated
2 whole pomegranates - seeds
1 cup apple cider vinegar

Again I can't say it enough but thank you!

And thank you Jason!

Hello everyone : )i bought the Kind Diet book this weekend and started reading during the snow storm...i've recently been juicing, and incorporating more veggies, and wheat grass into my diet... i guess the jumping point for me was that my sister was diagnosed with breast cancer a few months back... and i found out on friday that the doctors found more tumors...
so needless to say, i want to do anything and everything preventative for MYSELF, to stay healthy, happy, active, and in positive spirits.
so THANK YOU Alicia, for both your book, and this site...
i feel as thought this will be a good place for me
i look forward to meeting you all, chatting, sharing stories, as well as experiences, advice, and a wealth of knowledge

Hi,

My name is Karen and I'm an Australian but I'm now living in the UK with my husband and although I'm not a vegetarian I'm really interested in going green, buying eco-friendly and sourcing alternatives etc.

I have ordered The Kind Life book but I'm waiting for it to be delivered from the US and I hope it arrives shortly so I can start reading it over Christmas and the New Year.

I also like to cook and I'm passionate about photography and traveling.

Thanks for reading :)

Karen
hi there...
i read the book and i was really inspired. although my partner wants to stay carnivore, he's really supportive so i'm going superhero full on!  thanks for laying down such a great foundation.
I can't say I have made it there yet. I have been trying everything in steps. First month I didn't have meat which I didn't miss. The second I started working on staying away from processed foods. This is a lot harder I find. .
The book was a great help and I keep going back to it. I am in Canada so finding fresh veggies in the winter is a major issue. I am working one step at a time and it seems to be working.
I loved the book! I even made my husband read it. And I just ordered Christina Pirello's new book on Amazon! Just one question though: how do I post/start a discussion on a topic? I'm not very forum savy. Thanks! :)
Hey all.  I'm Diane and a crazy old cat lady in training, and have dogs, too.   I'm trying to give up the meat and milk but hate to waste what's already in the freezer (we don't have much money).  My main goals are to help keep my 14 year old daughter healthy, maintain my strength training, and help the planet.
