Check out Aubrey Organics - they have lots of great vegan products.

Merissa, you should be aware about that not all Dr.Hauschka products are vegan, as they contain lanolin.
I make a solid shampoo bar called Pink Pomelo, which is Pink Grapefruit, it is clarifying and helps restore the pH level back into your hair, I am blonde so it seems to work well with light hair pigments... alkaline level is perfect for balance.  I sometimes use Bragg (brand) Apple Cider Vinegar.. it's brilliant for shine and lustre.

Paula, How do you make the shampoo bar?
I've bought various solid shampoo bars and love them. I'd like to know how to make one, too.

I tried several from LUSH and loathed them with every part of my being. LOL they stunk up my bathroom so bad with the overly chemical smell. I would really love to make my own.
Are there any other brands for shampoo bars worth trying?
I've been using the Trader Joes line of shampoo, it's great!  It's a nice fresh citrus smell.  It's just a nice clarifying shampoo, nothing fancy.  They also have conditioner and body wash.  Doesn't test on animals, no animal products, and it's cheap!
I started using Pureology and noticed that it says it is 100% Vegan. It is a little pricey (I am lucky and my friend gets it for me from the wholesale place) but the hydrating one in a purple bottle smells amazing and really makes your hair shiny and beautiful.. Has anyone heard anything about this brand?
opps I just realized i started reading on the third page and the first posts talk about Pureology.. Awesome and sorry for the repeat!

Helen- I LOVE Aubry Organics!! I use the swimmers shampoo and conditioner over the summer when Im in the pool almost daily.

I love "Oh Baby! 9 Essentials" shampoo and conditioner.  It's smells so yummy and is a great option for those of us with scalp issues.

I just got the Whole Foods Everyday 365 brand in mint and it is the best shampoo I have ever used. And at 2.99 a bottle you just can't beat the price.

Terra- I bought the Whole Food mint conditioner and I love it too! It happened to be on sale the day I bought it, only $2.99, how cool! When I run out of my shampoo, I'm going back to Whole Foods for the mint shampoo! How could anyone pass up that deal! They also have other great scents, like lavender and grapefruit!

I love Aveda´s "Pure Abundance" and "Your Crown and Glory"  from Whole Foods. It also works well for me to switch shampoos every third or forth wash.
I used Castille soap this weekend as I had heard this could be used as shampoo...But I would NOT recommend it. Made my hair very weird!! I am going back to my regular. I use Trader Joes conditioner, which smells great, but doesn't condition enough for me. So I will try some of the things suggested here.
Thanks!
