This is a wonderful invitation and I'd like to take you up on that. I'm really into research about recipes, and even though I'm not an expert, I do experiment with a few recipes weekly.
I love reading books and I find learning things that are challenging from a children's level makes becoming an expert faster. (I learned basic Spanish from a 6th grade workbook and flash cards) Even blog about my adventures in cooking (only on this site).
I look forward to drilling you full of questions and vice versa!
I get notifications to my email address when someone wants to add me as a friend and when I get a private message but not when someone posts after I post. I don't know if this site has that feature and I just don't know where it is yet or if I'm just to rely on the "Discussions I've posted in" tab...which is how I got back here. I need a GPS for this website, it's so fun to click around that I get lost.

Happy to hear you liked the blog, I really get my aggravation out on that veggie! So far my favorite grain for protein would have to be amaranth. You can add it to a bowl for cereal in the morning or even pop it like popcorn for a movie night. I've read recipes about using to make bread, but I haven't tried it yet.
I guess I would say that the best percentage is what you are willing to do and love it.
My recommendations would also take into consideration your goals and age and stuff like that. Weight training is good for everyone for a myriad of reasons and essential as you get older, and I love it for women. Such a lovely lovely look for a woman to look strong and able and still shapely and sexy. Women don't have the tendency to get bulky unless they're REALLY trying. If you like cardio then a lighter weight, higher reps (failing at 13-15 reps) and older would be better off (bone density reasons & metabolism stoking) using a heavier weight, slow lifting and failing at 8-10. People tend to love cardio, but I would incorporate a good weight day at the very least, one day, but I would recommend 2 our of 6 workout days be a sculpting day.
I'm currently a quinoa and whole wheat couscous fan.
How far along are you with P90X? I love it when women tackle P90X because it really can do a lot to really contour the shape into a great "womanly" shape, totally breaking that myth about women "getting bigger".It takes some widening of knowledge about what's available to you and that's what we're doing here! Have you tried seitan or tempeh? I haven't yet. For y'all interested in body/mind/fitness and the best nutrition all rolled into one, I wanted to share this with you.
In The Kind Diet, Alicia Silverstone mentions many stellar athletes who are/were vegans. (Boy, if I could have a chat with Bruce Lee..) ANYWAYS, one of the super athletes is Brendan Brazier, which she profiled. I looked into his website and he has a pretty cool and super informative newsletter/auto-email that you can subscribe to called Thrive in 30 It's 30 days of cool information on a related subject to your best mind/body fitness.
I have no affiliation with his website, but I'm on Day 9 of the newsletter and am really liking the detailed information and think that like-minded peeps here would enjoy it as well. Some of it you might know, but I bet you'll find a new nugget of insight or info in every newsletter.
