Newly vegan from Georgia

Started a vegan lifestyle about two weeks ago.... It's really part of a Daniel Fast (Bible reference there) -- which I will do for 40 days...

Have to say, I'm loving the way I feel eating this way.  I've had no meat, no dairy, no caffeine, no sweetener ---- I'm 10 lbs down... I feel no "burden" to my digestion anymore - and "lighter" (not just the weight).

I think my road rage has subsided tremendously, and my time with God is becoming more consistent as well.

Although it's too early to tell whether I will remain strictly vegan for the long haul, I can definitely say that I'm leaning toward it more and more.  Biggest challenge is eating with friends or going out to dinner and not really have a ton to choose.

Indian food has become my absolute favorite thing to eat out, and I've found I am tickled to have beans/rice/guacamole from the Mexican restaurants as well.

Working with a lot of the Kind Diet recipes -- love them.  Also using Madhur Jaffrey's "World Vegetarian" and the book "Veganomicon" -- there's TONS of great food out there.  Also, can live without my local grocer, Earth Fare
