desserts from the kind diet as gifts!
I am loving this, GREAT IDEA.  I've gotta do this.
Such a great idea!
You could also layer the dry ingredients in a mason jar, write the recipe down and clip the recipe to the jar. Makes a pretty gift. Also encourages them to cook healthy and try vegan! :)
A personal gift that i have given recently was a rectangular short glass vase (usually from hobby lobby) and lined it with pictures of me and that person on each of the sides so they are facing out and filled it with some type of decorative rocks and put some fake flowers in them! its a cute decorating idea, and ive done it a few times and have gotten great responses! I did that for my boyfriend with a round jar and stuck pictures in them and then put his favorite jelly beans in it! he loved it! just an idea =)
I think it'd be so nice to give someone Mom's Granola in a pretty reusable glass jar.  Maybe tie onto it a pretty piece of note paper with a list of things to add the granola too, like what Alicia mentions in her book (use as cereal, add to desserts, etc.).  I've given a small portion to a few people to taste, and everyone loves it, so I'll definitely be doing this for gift giving!  Love these ideas, thanks, Alicia!!
That's a really good idea Deana!
I make an effort to buy gifts that are either eco-friendly, fair trade or chartiy driven in some other way for my loved ones. This way they get a taste of what is important to me, and are appreciative of how much of an impact a gift can have. Check out my forum post, Conscious Gifts (awesome!) under the family and friends section of house for a great website and great ideas! With so many options its easy to find something that not only warms your heart but warms the heart of your loved one as well. Whatever their interests.

Great idea with the recipes! I once gave a booklet of copied magazine recipes from Natural health and yoga journal to another health conscious foodie that lives in my house, complete with titles and food quotes from literature and famous chefs. She loved it.

That is such a great idea!  Thanks for sharing!

I love sending baked goods as gifts! I included your Peanut Butter Cups in my Christmas gift boxes and they were a total hit!! I like to send packages based on seasons or even locations. A few of my friends moved away from NY and were missing the autumn season here - so I sent autumn themed care packages with real autumn leaves of all colors and shapes, pumpkin cookies, "Autumn Leaves" scented candles, and mini pumpkins and gourds. It's the little touches that count.

What a great idea! I am so excited to have found this web site since we had just started our journey a couple of months ago! Hi new friends!
I like to give food-based events that we can do together. Just this past Saturday, I took my mom on a food tour through Seattle as her Christmas present. We had a blast and ate a lot of great food!
I also love baking for friends or brining any self-made food when I spontaneously stop by. It's also a great thing to hand craft picture collages or cards for birthdays!

i love how you've included the recipe.

everyone got the peanut butter cups for christmas this year!
I love giving journal's to people... I guess because I love them so much!!! Within the last two months I have given journals as presents. I also gave my dad a photo album book FULL of pictures of our family, HE ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT. Most were pictures I had taken or had someone take over the years, so he hadn't seem a lot of them before (-:
I make a vegan and naturally sweetened granola I named for my 6-year-old son, Judah. I had taken some small vegenaise jars and tahini jars, soaked the labels off, filled them with the granola and made a homemade label with the ingredients listed, a heart sticker on the lid (made with love:o) which they sold at the bake sale at my son's school for $5! I always save jars, so at Christmas time I gave them out as gifts. It felt so good to give something made, and also to recycle!! xo
