Good Morning Everyone!

I'm wondering if any of you girls out there are experiencing any differences on your menstrual cycle?? I am! I've been almost completely Superhero for 2 months now and my cycle is changing! It is lighter and a lot less cramping.....also fortunately for my boyfriend and others, I have literally no PMS! I am amazed and excited about this!

Also, I'd like to give  huge shout-out to the Diva Cup! It is an amazing invention and so much better for the bod AND the planet than tampons or other commercial menstrual products. Do any of you use a Diva Cup or something similar?

Have a wonderful day everyone!
With love,
Lita
Hi Lita,
I had tried the Diva Cup many years ago, but noticed that I still had to wear a pad because it never seemed to "catch" everything.  Also, the little piece at the bottom to pull it out kept rubbing against me, very annoying, I had to cut it down a bit so that I could wear it.  Has anyone had this happen to them??  Was wondering about trying it again, but I don't really want to have the same issues all over again.  Maybe I wasn't doing something right!
I have something similar to the diva cup, called the keeper, and I love it! I too had to make sure the angle was just right or it would "rub me the wrong way"! As far as my cycle, mine has gotten shorter and lighter also, just another reason to save the animals and the planet!

Yay! That is so cool Marie! I know, it just feels good overal, doesn't it? So many perks I'd never even thought of!
Joanne, that happened with me actually, and I just had to get the smaller one....and that helped immensely. It can be so annoying when it doesn't fit right, I hear you there!
Our bodies change when we aren't eating processed crap. It is perfectly normal that your menstrual cycle lightens with a healthier diet, in fact most doctors will tell you the same. Our bodies cannot process all the hormones and antibiotics that are in meat therefore it screws with our bodies natural functions.
When I first went veg a few years ago I noticed that my period was shorter, less menstrual cramps and less irritability. Anyway, I went to my gn and she asked me about my diet and told me it was perfectly natural for my body to actually start to feel better as my food intake was getting better.
So enjoy, less cramps and icky time of the month syndromes!!!!
What material is the Diva Cup or these other cups made from? I've been curious about this for a long time but I'm always weary of things in my body.

Hey Catgirl---good question---here is their link for more info--
http://www.divacup.com/
I've only used them but I am sure there are other good once out there!
Sandra-thanks! Yes, this totally does make sense!
Thanks Lita. I'm going to check it out.
I switched to the diva cup about 6 months ago and it's been fabulous. I get no leakage at all. It takes a bit of getting used to - insertion takes some practice to get it in the right place. Once I got used to placing it correctly, no leaks, no noticing it was there at all! Perfect.

And it works well while heavy exercising as well, which is an added bonus.

My period has always been very light, but it's gotten even better lately. :)
Did you all discuss with OB/GYN first or did you just go for it on your own?
I just went for it. I read enough about it online before that I felt comfortable with the concept, so I just bought one and hoped for the best. And I've been very happy with the results!
Hi,

I have a question for you all?  I have been vegan for over a month now and am moving to the superhero phase.  I went to see a macrobiotic counselor yesterday and he recommended me going off of the pill because i have been on it for so long(13 years).  I am afraid to because my periods were very painful prior to going on it.  Are you all experiencing lighter and less painful periods off of the pill?  Thanks for the help.
have just started using the diva cup, recommended to me by both my sisters and bought to me as xmas present. the first thing is that you have to cut the little extension, just close enough not to puncture the actual cup. This will make sure it never bothers you. The cup is extremely comfortable, in and out twice a day during the shower for entire cycle. Completely revolutionary, don't notice a thing. It does take a moment to handle the in/out thing but remember to fold in half for both and it really helps. pass the message onto close friends and family!
I'm a Diva Cup Gal.. and love it!  Took about 3 months to get used to using properly and now it is just easy peasy.

To the person that asked if we asked.  I did talk to my midwife first while researching beause I wasn't sure I was ready for the yuck-factor.  Also prone to infection, I wanted to make sure there was no need to worry.  And she only had good things to say.  I've used one for a long time now.  Maybe 2 years or more?

As for the better cycles... YES YES and YES...  2.5 days and no pain for the first time in my life.  Even stopped getting cysts.  I'm a happy camper.  And regarding the pill... YES, mine are still better with out it as long as I keep my diet in check!
Cat girl--I checked out the website. Interesting stuff. Its made of silicone.
