Daiya cheese will now be sold commercially in 8oz bags..i got the word on Facebook...I'm so excited. It's the best non-dairy cheese I have ever had, and my non-veggie/vegan friends actually order on their pizza over motz. YAY!!!! DAIYA!!!

I have been looking for this cheese everywhere and have not found it. What stores can you get it at or is it an only online cheese? Thanks for any help :)

I just read on Facebook about them launching it as you said Sione but it also had comments about Whole Foods having it and I looked but my WF's didn't seem to carry it unless I wasn't looking in the right spot. I was looking over by all the other vegan cheese in the dairy case ???

Ok...I'm going to have to try the Daiya.  Tried Follow Your Heart cheddar...and...it just didn't float my boat.  Is this something that some of you have had to learn to like?

 Going to WF's tomorrow.  I will ask if they have the Daiya brand.  I miss cheese....

Ok finally I found where the Daiya is kept at my Whole Foods. After looking for the last few trips to find it, thinking it was with all the other Vegan cheeses I broken down and finally asked someone. Right away I was graciously directed towards their cold case right inbetween where they make the pizzas and have all the deli items. . There it was in neat containers in Cheddar and Italian flavors. Of course I had to buy one of each :) I was told that they will make a pizza to order with the Daiya cheese if I'd like. Yum. Maybe next trip :) So hopefully this will help others who have been looking as I was. Oh btw the Daiya is so yummy :)

Darn wish I saw this earlier.  I just got back from WF's and bought the WORST vegan cheese.. grrrrr. Next time I try Daiya :)

  I too tried the Vegan cheese, american and cheddar, at Whole Foods and wasn't a big fan but felt if nothing else it was a great improvement from regular dairy cheese. I swear I was doing the happy dance when I finally found the Daiya cheese and yes it actually tastes like cheese and it's great for melting and is really cheesy. I'm sure you'll like it. My WF has one lb containers of it. Let me know how you like it next time you take a trip to WF. :)

I guess I'll try Daiya again. The last time I tried it was with pizza.  While YES, it DOES melt the best, I didn't think the taste was all that much better than others I've tried. Not for the cost & the trouble I have to go through to get some.

We like Follow Your Heart. I always tell people you can't use a ton of it like you would regular mozarella. And its not good in certain recipes, but the cheddar does well in cheese sauces, etc., and the mozarella is fine (sparingly) on pizza, which I broil for 2 minutes for a better melt, and also sprinkle with Italian seasoning for flavor..

Well, my local WF does not carry Daiya cheese (yet).  In fact, when I asked the cheese guy for "Daiya Cheese" he pointed out the diet cheese.  When I corrected him that it was a vegan cheese I was looking for, he very brusquely directed me to the dairy case where they have all the vegan cheese.  "We don't carry vegan cheese over here!"  Like I insulted him or something.  It's too bad really...I guess they don't want my business that much...

I just had Daiya cheese for the first time last week (from a truck vendor in LA no less!) ... it was delicious!  My non-vegan friends all agreed that the vegan dish I ordered tasted better than their non-vegan dishes!  I'm sure the Daiya helped sell it ... it really tastes just like cheese.  Love it!

Ewww! I also bought the cheddar Follow Your Heart because Alicia recommends it in the book and it's nasty. I'm not even sure if it's a texture thing or the taste. It was so funny because my 7 year old daughter saw it in the fridge tonight and wanted to try it. I hadn't yet opened it so I tried a small piece and gave her a slice and she actually spit it out! lol I'm hoping it is better shredded??? I hope!

HOORAY I just found Daiya mozzarella cheese at my Whole Foods yesterday and I bought two packages. I made pizza with some last night and it was yummy!
I can't wait for them to carry more flavors. I want to try the cheddar with the guacamole dip from the book!

Yes Daiya is amazing! You can't overcook it though b/c it gets gummy. FYH is good only when cooked, and the only flavor I think is good is the mozerella. But daiya cheddar and mozarella are both so good! I got to have nachos the other day...NACHOS!!!
