Thanks so much for keepin' things fresh - looking forward to it, I'm already noticing the Active Discussions are fitting much better on my screen! Ummm, or maybe that one's just a function of this set as opposed to my laptop...eek. Anyway - it'll be cool!

Hi! I'm new here and am jumping right in! Just tried happycow.com and it was for leather goods! (oops)- you need to go to happycow.net Lisa, Daikon is a huge long radish...maybe you can find it at a farmers market. Just ask around, even at your supermarket. Hope you find it, it's yummy :)

Hi everyone. I'm new to the site also and have decided to go vegan. I have been lactose intolerant since I was 17 so the change hasn't been that drastic. I'm excited when I get to make the recipes in Alicia's book!Thank you to Alicia for her awesome inspiring book!
What are good snack bars you can eat?
Sarah
luna bars are great, and larbars are supposedly really yummy too. from what I hear the kashi bars are vegan (all but the honey variety).. then again, I could be wrong. does anyone know?
A lot of the kashi stuff has milk products in it so I would be sure to read the ingrediants before you buy!
This website is really confusing
I tried the lemon and the key lime pie Larabars and they are yummy! Filling too. The lemon zest Luna bar is good too. I like to eat them before my yoga class. They keep my energy up without weighing me down.
I have been a vegetarian for 4 years. You have inspired me to try being Vegan. My first mission is to be Vegan for all of Lent (the 40 days and nights leading up to Easter). I'm counting on your cookbook and website to help me through it. My only concern...how do you eat when you go out to restaurants with friends?
