Did you all know that Ellen is vegan?! I had no idea!! I watch her show once in a while in the evenings (thank God for DVR), it always cracks me up. Well tonight she had her chef on making yummy looking super bowl snacks- all vegan!! I was so excited by this... Ellen reaches such a wide audience and I'm so happy that lots of people are learning about this way of life. Love her too!! now that I know she's vegan, I love her even more! I made her vegan chili cheese nachos for the super bowl and they were a HUGE hit! my non-veg parents LOVED them!! had those with mango sorbet and cubes of frozen mango for dessert. it was heaven!

Yes Ellen has been vegan for a while now. I love her chef Roberto martin. She has him on occasionally showing some of the meals he prepares for Ellen & Portia. Love her as well, I rarely miss a day of her show.

Ellen is a beautiful soul all around - veganism is another of a thousand reasons why! I read that she made the change after watching Earthlings, so I did, too, and it was my catalyst for becoming a vegetarian. I can't imagine anyone watching it and not being forever changed. Now it's time for veganism and Alicia's book was the springboard for that. So many good people with healthy messages - yay!

Yay! So glad others were excited about this too! Ellen is the best. For anyone trying the chili cheese nachos- the recipe wasn't transcribed extremely well! You may want to watch the short (approx 4 min) video linked to it on her site, as that explains more of what you're supposed to do. namely, they forgot to mention the minor detail of simmering for 35 mins! but they were soooo good.. and the portion was huge- it fed 4 adults for dinner, plus made leftovers for 2 lunches! enjoy everybody!
