I've seen where this is mostly vegan not vegetarian but I have a question. I have a 17 month old voluntarily vegetarian. He ate meat up to about 3 weeks ago. The only meat he has really ate is a chicken weenier (which I rather him not eat them). No one in my family is a vegetarian, I was for a while then I went back to mainly eating chicken. I have toyed with the thoughts of going back to being one though. Well my question is not about me sorry I got side tracked. My question is what are some other ways I can make sure my son gets all the nutrients and proteins he needs while he is on a "meat strike"? He does drink cow milk but limited to only 2 sippy's a day (one for morning and one before bed), does not eat cheese, will only eat eggs if they are fried (I don't want him eating a lot of fried foods), does not like juice at all and is not big on fruits. I also have to mention he is a self-feeder and he always request to sit in his booster seat at the table so he can feed himself. Like I said he is 17 months old, weighs approx. 30 lbs and is tall for his age, so he IS VERY HEALTHY. I just want him to stay healthy. And if he continues to stay a veggie that will be fine because I make sure my kids have veggies everyday. Please I will take any advice I can possibly get. Thank you
