another great success story!
That is a great story!
I've also dealt with digestive problems,  But since i've gone vegan I have been more regular then i ever thought possible. I feel like I can leave the house without worrying. I feel great! :) I am glad other people with digestive problems are feeling great too.:)
What a great story...hopefully it will motivate someone who has been on the fence.

I can't agree more with her story.  I am 29 and have had increasingly bad cystic acne that was not only ugly but painful too.  Since becoming vegan my skin has drastically changed!  If I do get a zit it is a small one here and there, and it goes away within 24 hours.  It is such a blessing to wake up in the morning and see clear skin!  This was my main reason for becoming vegan, my skin; all the other positive changes were just icing on the cake-like losing 6 pounds without even trying.  :0)
My heart is beaming with delight!! I live with those amazing feel good feelings everyday as a whole foods plant based vegan....fantastic job....You are a shining example to others:)
This story makes me so excited to go vegan because I myself have struggled with digestive problems for a very long time.  I have done everything to try and solve the issues, but to no avail.  I can not wait for this new lifestyle to start reaping its benefits on my body, I am psyched by your results Amanda!  Thank you so much :)
It has also been a month since I have leaned into things.  I often bring in lunches to see the doctors that I sell to and recently I've been able to simply bring them what they want, talk with them while they eat and not need to eat that same food. I then go to my car and eat the meal/snacks that I bring with me every day. Today I was around some amazing smelling pizza, however there wasn't the slightest temptation as I am simply resolved to eat cleanly. It's truly empowering to live this way in spite of the food all around us. Some days I feel like I'm going into battle against all of the crappy food everywhere. But I'm willing to stand my ground and eat what I know is right.
Awesome! So good to hear this, I was in the same boat, terrible stomach problems and endless doctors not knowing why and wanting to do more and more tests!

This week I have been alittle off, about to start my cycle and thinking its causing me to be off track and feeling not so good but this gives me motivation not to give up.
I enjoying reading these success stories! Keep them coming!
as a person myself with major digestive issues how did you do it? I found that with the influx of more beans etc.. i bloated more, what are you all making and eating help..if you know how..i am at wits end and hanging on to the quest of being vegan but i feel as though its not working.
HELP!!...the past few years, after struggling with an eating disorder, i developed digestive issues as well as BAD gas and everything else that comes along with that. I was so excited after reading The Kind Diet ...with hope that I would see many changes. It has been 3 months and I haven't noticed any difference in my digestion issues. I still get bloated, full of gas, and end my day feeling sick because of all of it. Is there something I am doing wrong? I eat LOTS of grains, legumes, veg and fruit!

I'd love some feedback!
What cookbook did u refer to when going vegan gluten free? it seems hard to find a cookbook that covers both needs .... I have used the Ultra Mind Solution cookbook but wanting to find another to add to my collection
I have had wonderful results as well. Its been 3 1/2 months for me..with some days that I had to choose not to starve and just eat a bit of non-vegan stuff. ( I have 4 children ages 3-13 so have not been able to keep up 100%-maybe 98%. ) I am also an adult with braces which provides an extra challenge!! But I am still doing well despite all the road blocks. One thing that has been frustrating is that my acne has NOT improved. I am frustrated with it! Any suggestions from anyone about why this might be the case??
this makes me so happy smiley-laughing.gif  I look forward to MORE and MORE success stories.   Yay!
I have been a vegetarian for 15 years, a vegan for the last 5.  I too have experienced amazing changes in my digestive system. I suffered horrible constipation. The teeniest bit of dairy would throw my gut into a clinching fist of pain and discomfort. My skin was also very pimply and bumpy. I was embarrassed to wear sleeveless shirts because my arm looked so gross.

The changes to my skin and GI tract didn't improve overnight or even a month. It was a slow and gradual change that happened over a period of about 6 months. But it was definitely worth the wait. Now, my arms are free of blemishes and I have a BM twice a day.  My systems are running like a dream.

So please don't give up. Give it some time and things will come around. I've also found yoga to be a great toxin releaser to help your body get out of the rut.
