Are 'heat surges' part of the detox?

It's been a little over a week since I ditched dairy, meat and eggs, and a very large majority of sugar, aside from the Agave and rice syrup. What I've noticed is through out the day, I will suddenly get very hot and sweat, even though I'm not being overly active at that moment.  I'm only 38 so I know it's not menopause, is this a detox thing? Could I be missing something in my diet? What's going on??

Your diet change can effect your hormone levels. When they change, a woman can get really hot. In Chinese medicine we call it yang rising. It should be temporary and resolve slowly over time.

Yams, sweet potatoes, butternut and acorn squash can help.
