We have plastic chairs made out of recycled soda and water bottles, so they don't really need a cover, but these are great for furniture that does!

We really should have covers for our out door furniture but haven't gotten around to getting them.  That is a wonderful idea about the tarp and you can cut it to fit.  Thanks Alicia.

Great post.  The Empire Patio Covers seem cheaper (in price, not quality :)) than some of the icky non environmentally friendly covers I've seen.  We usually store most of our furniture in our garage during the cold Chicago winters, but that takes up valuable space so I'm definitely going to look into buying the Empire covers.
