I was stuck in traffic today on Perkins Road in Baton Rouge and decided to pull into this relatively new bakery called "Truly Free Bakery & Deli".  I was so excited to find that it was in fact a little deli with a very long menu.  There were like 10-15 vegan options!  They had probably 6 or 7 under an all vegan column, then the manager told me there were other options scattered throughout the menu.  I had the half of an Eggplant pannini and a cup of vegan chili.  They both were really good.  Also, they actually have a drive thru!   How crazy is that for Baton Rouge?  BTW- I did verify that the "light mayo" was vegginasie and not really mayo.  They assured me it was.  The have a website I thought I would includehttp://trulyfreebakery.com/ 

SO COOL!!!  Let's hope they are very successful, and more pop up all around the country.  THAT's what we need more of, healthy options for drive-thrus.  =)

This is really exciting! I grew up in the South and know what a scarcity options like this are. Here's wishing Truly Free a long life and tons of business!
