Following are the best chocolate brands in the world.
1. Lindt & Spugli Chocolates - Lindt & Spugli Chocolates rank among the most popular chocolate brands of the world.
2. Ghirardelli Chocolates - Ghirardelli Chocolates are available in stores in a wide variety of forms.
3. Ferrero Rocher - Name a single chocolate lover who has not heard of Ferrero Rocher.
4. Thorntons Chocolates - Thorntons Chocolates are a British made branded chocolate, very popular in all parts of the world.
5. Hershey’s - Chocolate lovers would start drooling when you name Hershey’s.
I have to disagree with Sandra on Ghirardelli and Hershey's because they are cheap and full of sugar and other additives and low on cocoa butter.
What are you planning to do with it? Cook or eat plan? Are you looking for a basic chocolate or more exotic?
I like Maestrani(Switzerland) Frigor(Switzerland, Valhrona, Ragusa(Switzerland), Dagoba(USA), Sharffen Berger (USA now owned by Hershey's quality is still decent) Guittard (USA) Cadberry (UK on the cheaper side) Lindt(In switzerland it is made with milk and here it is made with oil so higher quality is found over seas. Plus, when you buy it here most is actually made in New Hampshire)
When looking for a high quaility chocolate the best test is when you break it. If it cracks it is of quality. When you make smores and you break of hersheys it resembles wax being broken and doesnt have a hard snap/crack to it.
Warning: None of these vegan. Unless you search for dark chocolate.

how bout best vegan chocolate?
Ferrero Rocher! At least for store brands. Although I remember a while back when I visited Europe they had lots of Ma & Pa shops lining the streets and they fudge was unreal!
