Hi! J  I have tried the Happy Herbivore black brownies & loved them!  The recipe calls for 2 bananas….I was wondering if you could replace the bananas with pumpkin?  With fall I have some wonderful pumpkin I would love you use?  Thanks so much for your help friends :)  xo

lexie, i love your idea! it sounds like it'd be yummy. i don't have my copy of the book with me right now, so i don't know if bananas are the only source of sweetness. if they are, i suggest using part banana and part pumpkin (as very ripe bananas add sweetness pumpkin doesn't). however, if there is another source of sweetness, go all pumpkin!

if you try this, PLEASE post exactly how much you used of what and how it turned out! i'd love to add it to thanksgiving this year if you have success :)
