Convincing My Wife to Eat Mushrooms

I'll get to the point: they're good for you, they're tasty, and my wife hates them (because of the taste). Are there any ideas on how to mask them so she'll eat some dishes with them?

Has she tried portabella? Those are usually the most flavorable. Or, if your wife is an omnivore like mine, she might appreciate a grilled portabella which can taste and bite like meat.

Other than that, I recommend pizza. Frankly, I don't care for the taste of mushrooms either (and I'm vegetarian), except for portabella. But, sprinkle mushrooms on a pizza and I'm okay with that. Point: Mix them with other things and that might help.

As a vegan who hate mushrooms (for texture reasons), I can say the only way I'll eat them is if they're in tiny bits so they don't squeak when I bite into them.  :P  If you cut 'em up small enough, she might not notice them.  :)

I second portabella mushrooms.  I pan fry them  for a few minutes on each side and put them on sandwhiches with hummus and lots of vegetables.  Delicious!

Aww don't make her eat them lol.  I think she will be fine passing on the shrooms if he doesn't like them.

I don't like mushrooms either so your wife is not alone!  I am not big on the texture or taste but I will eat them in some recipes.  I also agree with Kiera that it is better if they are cut up and indistinguishable.
