GREAT Cause. Ran all my Marathons almost 30 years ago. Can't run that far anymore, but I still run lesser distances 4 times weekly! I applaud the Runners AND the cause! Kudos.

Awesome! Good for them! Very cool how the first girl learned how to run a marathon precisely for this cause.
Fantastic! I've signed up to run a 1/2 marathon in Santa Barbara this November...it will be my first but I am looking forward to wearing my customized bib reading "Vegan Powered!".
GREAT STORY ABOUT RICHARD ADAMS (ABOVE). EVERYONE HERE SHOULD READ IT! ;-)
Wow their stories are very insprirational. I am running the Boston Marathon next month and I credit my improved speed and ability over the last year to a vegan diet. I hope to run for a cause like this in the future.
I am so amazed by these stories! I myself ran the Brighton Marathon in London last year and was collecting donations from family and friends, which I then donated to PETA UK. I am doing the same this year. I would love to run for a cause like "Farm Sanctuary" the next time I run a marathon (maybe next year?). These stories make me proud of people that commit their life to helping animals!
Incredible story! I loved it! What these people are doing is amazing.
I love the stories! These folks are great....very inspiring! I love Farm Sanctuary! I'm getting ready to make my donation for their 25th anniversary later this week or early next week. Also, I'm hoping to get to go their later in the year to visit the animals. On another note, I just started to add running in to my excercise regimin and I'm loving it so far...maybe someday I'll be able to run a marathon for charity like these amazing people!
Thank you so much for the mention! You can donate to my page at http://www.crowdrise.com/richardman
this is so inspiring! thank you so much for posting about these great athletes.
Farm Sanctuary should have a regular show on Animal Planet to make people aware on a weekly or daily basis, what is being done to farm animals or how callous people are when it comes to these wonderful, intelligent beings. Farmers or individuals are SO cruel when they can do these wicked things like docking the tails of the cows, allowing them to live in their own feces and urine, piglets that are thrown agains the wall or stomped on, the chickens that have their beaks cut off and living amongs thousands of other chickens. If people could see, for their own eyes, how these poor things live, there would be more vegans, more fundraising and more awareness. I hope they think about a show like this. Wouldn't that be great??? :)
