Fibro and going vegetarian

Does anyone else here have fibromyalgia (fibro)? I've had it for over 6 years now, tried everything to help and funny enough - the only that helped was a chiropractor. No amount of medicine made much of a differece for me. But I amcurious, if anyone here has fibro have you noticed lessened symptoms when you eat a meat-free diet? Are there any foods you found you feel better without?

Yes, yes, and yes!

Going vegetarian helped somewhat, but going vegan has made me practically asymptomatic. I still have the occasional 'fibro day', but the improvement is vast. My daily pain scale used to be 4 - 7. Now, it's 1 - 3! And fatigue is almost non-existent!

If you haven't yet tried it, go vegan for two weeks. I'll be amazed if you don't feel worlds better.

P.S. You can read my full story about my decades-long battle with fibromyalgia in my profile!

Thank you Kasey, I will have to read your story soon. I'm going slowly towards meat-free at the moment, which is a big step for me. And in another month or so I should find out if I have an actual intolerance to some food/ingredient or not. So until then I would have to wait before I even thought about trying vegan.
