For those of you attending the Institue for Integrative Nutrition...
How's it going?? And for those of you who are thinking about it or attending another program to become a health coach, how is your search going??
I'm signing up as soon as I get my financial aid refund to the eCornell nutrition course by T. Colin Campbell. I think that's what you are talking about. I can't wait. But I also am going to try to make my start date after I finish this quarter because I already have a heavy course load. I need to be spending less time on here. But truth is I'm addicted.
Hi! I'm a student at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition right now. You can learn a bit about it on my website. I'm in the distance program and I really enjoy it. I have a lot of flexibility of when and how to listen to my classes and review the materials. They also get you working with clients pretty quickly, which is amazing. I've done sessions with multiple people at this point and it's been awesome. They do a great job of not only teaching you the dietary theories but also teaching you have to create and manage your own business. You also get your very own health coach while you're a student.

Send me a personal message if you want more information! But overall, I've been very pleased with the distance program through IIN.
I am anxiously awaiting August to enroll.  I am so looking forward to participating in the distance learning program, it is nice to hear from someone who has participated.  My health counselor now actually attended IIN and I had heard about it from another source before I started seeing her.

Thanks!
Hi!
I am looking to do both courses, Institute for Integrative Nutrition and Certificate in Plant Based Nutrition but I am from canada and was wondering what your experience has been like with distance learning.

Thanks!
@Michelle, why are you not going to the eCornell program now?  (or maybe i misunderstood what you were saying haha)  but i'm just curious!
I haven't started yet because I am in college full time right now. And I have a ton of assignments due. I can't add it to my plate. I want to be able to devote my attention to it so that I can get the most out of it.

Someone I work with got a degree at IIN....I am super curious about it and am just wondering what you all think about it?  She loved it....
@michelle ah so you will eventually do it...i see:) that makes sense!  good luck in school!

I'm looking at the site and I'm a little confused with what you walk away with after the program.  Is it a certification of some sort?  How can you promote yourself?

Hey Kind Lifers...if you're thinking about enrolling at IIN between now and November 15th 2010, I am offering a $500 scholarship and some cool free giveaways! You just have to mention my name (Jenny Sansouci) as a referral to get the discount. Please feel free to email me with any questions! IIN truly changed my life :)  (jennysansouci@gmail.com). Xoxo (more info here).

How much does the program cost?

I am interested in attending Bauman after going to IIN. I found IIN to be too general and impersonal and not enough hands-on. It seems only a small percentage of people successfully live off their practices, and most need to keep investing in further education. Bauman seems to be hands-on and very natural food and science oriented at the same time.

Hey Everyone!

For anyone still wondering about IIN or hesitant to enroll--it will change your life! I enrolled in the Professional Training Program in January to become a Certified Holistic Health Coach and can't begin to describe all the ways it has transformed me, my relationships, my attitude, my weight (!), my goals and ambition level, and of course my overall health and sense of well-being. I recommend IIN to everyone I meet and am embarking on an amazing journey with my health coaching business right now. (I've also already made a bunch of money from it...if you're into that sort of thing) You can see an example of the website IIN supplies students with by visiting mine (though it's still a work-in-progress) at rootsandladders.net . This program has seriously become one of the best decisions of my life--I can't overemphasize my love for the school, for Joshua's brilliance, and for all my fellow classmates. I wish everyone in the world could get a taste of this!

If anyone is thinking of enrolling soon, email me at kristina@rootsandladders.net. I'd love to help out with any questions. I also have a unique opportunity to grant someone a full scholarship to the school, so if finances are an issue (as they were for me when I was considering enrolling) please let me know if you're interested.  Another amazing deal happening right now is that anyone I refer to the school this week will get free admission and VIP seating at the IIN Conference in NYC this September. Besides these deals, I regularly have the ability to give out discounts of a few hundred dollars to anyone that mentions my name when they enroll.     I'd love to be able to gift this to someone and introduce you to this kind of energy!  Be in touch if you're interested!

Much love everyone,

Kristina

Hey Everyone!

Was anyone else at the IIN Rock the Ripple Effect conference yesterday?? I'm still giddy from the energy there.

I just posted this in another spot but I want to make sure everyone who's interested gets to see this!

There were a couple of HUGE announcements at the conference that I think will be a gamechanger for anyone on the fence about choosing nutrition schools. It's a lot to type so feel free to read through my blog post about it. (I've bulleted and bolded the important stuff!) Some highlights are: a $300 scholarship from now until 11/10/11, an iPad for every new student, and a free book for everyone! Ahhh!

The post is here: http://kristina-sarhadi.healthcoach.integrativenutrition.com/blog/2011/11/big-news

And as always, feel free to get in touch with me by phone or email (kristina@rootsandladders.net) if you have ANY questions! Can't wait to hear from you!!

So much love! K
