fruit make after a meal
I would like to start eating more fruit but i find that if i don't eat it first thing in the morning on an empty stomach i get bloated and gassy and stomach ache. any suggestions or ideas?
that's what happens!  fruit is digested more quickly than other foods, so when you eat it combined with other foods, it digests and then begins to ferment in your stomach, causing gas and bloating.  there's really no way around it exactly, as i understand it.
i generally wait at least an hour after a meal and then have a piece of fruit and i am just fine. but if i rush the time i notice i get bloated and gassy as well. just wait an hour (or more) and you should be good to go!
Everyone else hit it right on the nose. Fruit is best eaten on an empty stomach and alone or as the first meal of the day because it is quickly digested. If its eaten after a meal that takes longer to digest it will ferment causing glassiness and bloating unfortunately!
