Getting back to being Vegan

I know you ladies have gotten this questions a dozen times, but I was in transition to becoming vegan before I got pregnant. I just had my daughter and she has plenty of gassy/fussy issues at night. I officially cut out dairy and want to go vegan for her and I to be very healthy. I'm wondering if introducing certain veggies will just make her gas issues worse? I LOVE beans as my protein, but once again will it make it worse for her?

Any suggestions?

It can't hurt to try...when I was nursing, I found beans were ok as long as I soaked them, rinsed them well and cooked them myself - no cans (because with a nursing newborn, you have no need for any convenience foods, right?).  I did find cruciferous veggies made 2 of my 4 gassy but I have a feeling I was overdoing them in an attempt to lose the ton of weight I had gained with baby #2 (she's 14, can I still call it baby weight?).  Anyway, I would give it a try.  We all know it is the best diet for our health.  Take it slow with the broccoli, brussels sprouts, etc. and cook your own beans (pressure cooker has a pot of garbanzos done in 12 minutes!) and also go easy on tofu and soy milk products (edamame didn't give us trouble though) because they tend to give a lot of people gas issues.  Good luck.  Congrats on the new little one and for making the decision to nurse.
