Oh, that's hard! I would say it comes down to two - both I had in Portland, Oregon. One was a raw mushroom pizza at a place called the Blossoming Lotus, which served raw and cooked vegan food. It was so delicious and flavorful. The other was a burger from a place called Portobello, which makes dishes based on local ingredients, so the menu changes periodically. It was a beet burger with other veggies and grains - oh my gosh I have never tasted such a great burger. Take a look at their menu, it will make your mouth water.

Definitely the raw pizza, the one with broccoli and bell peppers and mushrooms, at Raw Kitchen in West Palm Beach. This place is run by two lovely ladies who cook their butts off all day, every day, and keep up this wonderfully personal restaurant. While I was passing through I ate there, for lunch and dinner, every day! They were kind and accommodating, and I never had a raw pizza that was better than theirs!

I haven't been vegan long enough to do a lot of traveling/exotic dining as one, but I recently had a delicious gaspatcho and wonderful sweet potato fries at a seafood restaurant in North Carolina...

Great tips! If folks are looking for weekly travel articles, how to travel as a vegan worldwide or even download country by country special diet travel guides, be sure to check out www.HealthyVoyager.com!

I took a trip to Galveston recently with my hubby and his parents, and they took me to a great Greek restaurant (Olympia I think). I got the vegetarian plate and subbed in extra dolmas instead of the spanikopita. It came with a bowl of lentil vegetable soup, amazing hummus and pita for dipping, grilled veggie kabobs, a salad, and of course the delicious little veg dolmas. I am dying to go back!

I had a vegan Indian curry dish in a homemade gread bowl when I was in South Africa.  It was so delicious!  I wish I could have taken a suitcase full of that curry home with me!

It was this weekend! I was visiting friends in Ottawa, and they took me to ZenKitchen in the city's Chinatown. I had an awesome meal for brunch, with perfectly cooked rice and crispy tofu skewers. Because I'm also gluten free, there are many times at a restaurant where I can only eat one or two items on the menu -- but at Zen, I could eat almost everything! Such a great experience.

Hi there!  I already have a membership to Spork On-line, so I'm not going to post about my best vegan meal while traveling, I'm just going to say that I love my Spork membership and the meals I've made from the recipes have been super yummy and the videos have been great.  I love watching Jenny and Heather teach class, and learning from them.  I really enjoy it.  Thank you, ladies, for the great guest blog.

I have only been vegan for two months now, so I haven't traveled too far for eating out.  There is a great place pizza place that is local called The Mellow Mushroom that has great atmosphere and great tofu pizza and awesome salads, though.

The best vegan dish I've had (and conveniently, very 'Kind' friendly!) while traveling was vegan Mujadara! It's a simple brown rice, caramelized onion, lentil masterpeice of wonderfulness that has made it's way into our kitchen as a comfort food staple. I'll be sure to post the recipe on here soon :D

Thanks so much for all of the great links/resources ladies! It's very much appreciated :)

While traveling to NYC we ate at Pure Food and Wine-every dish is vegan and raw. I did not explain this to my mother who happily ate everything and called me a "liar" when I told her that the mint ice cream and beet ravioli were made with nuts not dairy!

When travelling to San Francisco, I always stop at Millenium. It is such a nice treat to get dressed up to out for vegan food!

There are so many great vegan friendly restaurants in Santa Cruz, CA.  I am lucky that my parents live there and I am able to visit.  I actually posted about the food on one of my Santa Cruz visits...

While in FL for my sister's wedding, I had an amazing vegan dish that was completely unexpected. My step-mom's friend catered and surprised me with one of the best spaghetti squash dishes I've ever had! That combined with the fantastic salad was such a great surprise. I didn't expect any vegan dishes, but it turns out she was excited for the challenge and after such amazing success with what she made, she decided that she would eat vegan at least once a week from now on. She even said that hopefully she'd just be all around vegan ^_^ It was a lovely surprise and I'm so glad that her experimenting with cooking for me resulted in her reconsidering her diet!

I had this really great vegan lentil dish when  I was in England.
