I'll be working out in our garden with my 3-year-old, pulling weeds and getting it ready for us to plant next month.  Tomorrow, we're walking down the street to the Earth Day celebration in town.

I went to mississippi market (organic store) via bus this morning and bought food for my transfer over to becoming vegan. Don't worry I brought my reusable bags with me too. My first dish that I just made when I got home was Summertime Succotash. So good! Put it in a old salsa jar to take to work for dinner. :D Now I'm about to go walk 2.3 miles to play it again sports to get a glove for playing softball. Then I'm gonna walk an additional .2 miles and head to work where I will be promoting some organic products today. Its misting out, but thats not putting a damper in my step today. I'm in a great mood with my new lifestyle. :) Getting greener and greener by the day. :D

Oh and I've been posting about vegan stuff all week via facebook. :) Doing my part to spread the word.

Oh yeah and I made two pledges. :) Using energy efficient light bulbs and using reusable bags. Ok...this is my last post I promise. lol :D

I am going to an Earth Day celebration in Richmond, VA to listen to music, hear about the latest environmental issues/products and hopefully eat some local, organic, vegan food!!

I am volunteering for Central Florida Earth Day!!!! I will be helping the Animal Rights Foundation of Florida (ARFF) to do community outreach by educating the public about veganism and compassion for animals. We will be distributing literature, stickers, comic books for the kids, and answering any questions that people may have. We also have visual elements (like a battery cage with a fake chicken in it) to demonstrate the horrors of factory farming.

If you live in or near Orlando, FL... come out to Lake Eola from 10-6 tomorrow (Saturday, April 23rd) to celebrate Earth Day! It's a free event, and all food and vendors must be vegan-friendly! :)

We took the kids outside for a little nature walk and were lucky enough to see some animals even though it's chilly today, which thrilled them. Later we're serving a vegan meal to my family for a dinner get together. Should be fun!

We did a tour of the recycling center yesterday and we are doing a work day at SASHA farm animal sanctuary tomorrow. Here is a post of the sanctuary that I did last year. The kids had the best time!
