have you tried café gratitude?

I just ate at this great place in Echo Park last night. It's called Sage Organic Vegan Bistro. The Moroccan Pasta was to die for, and I had a scoop of kind kreme chili chocolate ice cream for dessert that was equally delicious.

I *love* Cafe Gratitude! I live about 3 blocks from the Berkeley location - you absolutely must try their Luscious Smoothie made with cacao beans, figs, and dates. Also, I have started making their signature "grateful" bowl at home: 1 cup brown rice, 1/2 cup black beans, a bed of shredded raw kale, and Tbsp of Trader Joe's vegan "Goddess" dressing. Delicious and filling!

I love Cafe Gratitude! There's one in SF and across the Bay in Berkeley. They also own, Gracias Madre, a vegan Mexican restaurant in SF (not raw, which Gratitude mostly is.) They grow most of their own veggies and make nut-based milks in house for ice cream. *Drool* They use the nut pulp for the crusts of their pies.

Another thing I love is that their menu is based on a gratitude game and each food item is an affirmation. For example one of their juices is "I Am Worthy," so when you order you say, "I am worthy" instead of "I want this juice."

If you aren't grateful when you walk in, you will be when you walk out. :)

Has anyone heard the song "Make it Mine" by Jason Mraz? He mentions Gratitude Cafe in the song!

I'm from Oklahoma but I recently moved to Albuquerque, N.M. for college, and I have so many more options here than I did back home! I particularly love this little restaurant called Mint Tulip. They have the most delicious milkshakes EVER. Mostly they make traditional American cuisine but it's not superhero. Annapurna's is a good choice if you're looking for something really wholesome; they are a vegetarian place but have amazing gluten-free and vegan choices so you don't feel limited at all. Most of their menu is traditional Indian cuisine, which I love! :) I've also heard of Thai Vegan, but have never tried it, and at the beginning of next month I'm going to a downtown burger joint called BRGR (pronounced like burger but it goes by it's initials). The are supposed to have some really good vegan options and they have local beer and wine.

I love Cafe Gratitude!

They have a location INSIDE of the Whole Foods in Cupertino, California. It took me forever to figure out it was inside and I spent forever looking for this hidden location. Love stopping by for a healthy meal :o)

ha. I JUST drove back from the Los Angeles location for breakfast. Flore wasn't open and I don't eat gluten or soy. It was perfect. Quinoa with coconut milk and cinnamon and goji berries. YUM.

If you're ever in Austin you won't be dissapointed with all the options. Mother's Cafe and Garden (vegetarian but includes vegan options as well as most of their menu items can be made vegan), Daily Juice Cafe (small but lovely raw vegan menu along with the best smoothies and juices in town) and so many more including the famous Austin food trailers that offer veggie and vegan fare! I LOVE Austin!

I love cafe gratitude! I didn't think I would because I'm not big on "raw" but the food was so yummy! I ordered a raw and cooked appetizer and both of them were delicious. smiley-laughing.gif

I agree that The Counter has a really great veggie patty!  However, when reading the nutritional and allergen information on their website, there aren't any buns that are vegan, only vegetarian.  But the patty in a salad bowl in super yum and filling.

I've been putting it off for a while, but I think it's time to fight traffic from Brentwood and try Cafe Gratitude!

I've never been to Cafe Gratitude, but I've made a lot of their recipes. I like to pretend like I'm there. The owners and staff are so sweet. They actually allowed me to use one of their recipes in my ebook and have featured mine on their site. Love them!

If you're ever in the Phoenix area, head over to Cave Creek and try Chef Sara's Raw Vegan Academy & Cafe.  Her food is excellent - not to mention healthy beyond belief! I eat gluten free, meat free, dairy and egg free, but am not raw.  However, I could eat her food every day! She's a fabulous chef!

There's a CAfe Gratitude in Santa Cruz also! As well as one of my faves: Dharmas Restaurant also in Santa Cruz. They're vegan and vegetarian only and have a HUGE menu! Never had any of their treats but they look delicious!
