I need breakfast help!
I go to the gym in the mornings and before I became a vegan I would eat egg whites after lifting weights because it is important to refuel your body with the needed protein.  But since becoming a vegan, I need ideas for breakfasts that will be harty and protein rich.  Any ideas?
"Scrambled tofu" is yummy, which i believe there is a recipe for it in Alicia's book. If you aren't trying to be a superhero yet, then you can make oatmeal with soy milk for added protein.

lentil soup!
You could try an Ezekiel sprouted grain English muffin with almond butter -- 8g of protein in the English muffin and 4g of protein in 2 tablespoons of almond butter.
This is so yummy:

Quinoa or Brown Rice B-FAST (10+ grams of protein)

1/2 c- 1c. of quinoa
just a dab of earth balance butter
sprinkle of cinnamon
drizzle of agave nectar syrup
sprinkle of walnut pieces
sprinkle of raisins
chunky apple sauce

I make a big batch of quinoa or brown rice every week. I use some of it for this quick meal. Just throw it all together, warm it up and enjoy!
My mom likes to put rice or almond milk on hers. It's packed with protein too.

MY POST WORKOUT PROTEIN SHAKE
(23+ grams of protein)

hemp protein powder
1/2 c. rice or almond milk
1 cup of frozen fruit/berries
sometimes a banana
good squeeze of agave syrup
few drips of vanilla extract

Blend and enjoy!

The hemp does have a "green" aftertaste, but I am used to it now.

Peace,
Cassi

Whitney's post about Ezekiel muffin with almond butter is one of my breakfast staples.  Along with this, I also recommend blending 1 cup of water with 1/2 banana, 1 heaping TBS hemp seed, 1 tsp spirulina. Blending the banana, water and hemp seed first, then adding the sprirulina while slowing the blender to low will keep the spirulina from clumping and sticking to the blender blade and sides.
Oatmeal & Fruit always works in a pinch :)
Also highly recommend Alicia's English Breakfast as you can modify and just eat the beans and toast   with kale chips., or a salad..the recipe  for kale chips is  posted here on the forum. Good Luck!!

Love scrambled tofu once a week and oatmeal and fruit is delicious as well. Also, I tried miso soup in the morning and steamed greens and they are great!
