I never take anything when I'm getting stuff to-go!  I keep a set of silverware at my desk at work, as well as a plate and mug, and use them for everything! 

I love this idea, its awesome.  I recently got this lunchbox from a local store here in York.  It has a dividers so you can have salad and pasta its awesome. http://www.black-blum.com/product_box-appetit_53_0.html I always take my lunch to work and try not to take bags etc from to-go places. 

I bought my re-useable silverwear 4 months ago at Cafe Gratitude and I love them. I carry them with me everywhere so I never need to use any plastic silverwear. It helps me enjoy my meal knowing that I am making less waste using these little guys, never taking a bag (unless I really need one) and recycling if there are to-go containers. I also ask to-go places to not hand out a million napkins with ever order because it's such a waste!

I totally agree, it makes me twitch when restaurants just throw in loads of plastic rubbish! I tend to say 'thanks but no thanks' Like you say it would save them a fortune if they stopped doing it, as well as saving the planet. It seems that fast food places are the worst; I don't frequent those eateries anymore thankfully but a drive through order comes with so much rubbish (and not just the food!!)

This is an awesome lunch box I got here in the UK.  Its got a fork and dividers and a sauce pot! genius!

I work at a restaurant and we never throw in the plastic stuff.  It might just be b/c we're lazy though, but most ppl are just taking it home and so yeah, why would they need it!?  BTW I LOVE that set you, I sent it to my fiance...hint hint, lol.

I think it's a great idea and I love the idea. Is the wood utensils recycled? Also I love the fabric pattern is that recycled as well?

Ugh, its the same with grocery stores! They seem to double bag EVERYTHING and I'm like 'whoa people!'. Maybe it's nerdy, but if I forget to tell them no plasticware, etc, I just put them in a drawer and use them for picnics, then save them and wash them like normal silverware. At least that way they don't immediately end up in a landfill for the next 200 years biodegrading.  Now I'm also reusing old salsa jars, produce bags or anything given to me as ways to store the new baked goods I'm learning or veggies I prepare for meals, etc. Yay for cutting down on waste!

I lost my set in my last move, but love having my own utensils. One place I used to frequent learned quick that I did not want the stuff in a bag and I had my own chopsticks...lol. I do want to get more of these, and even start carrying a container with me for leftovers when I do dine out. So many places around here give styrofoam containers but no one recycles its...

I dont go through fast food places but i do on occation will get some take out and i always tend to say no thanks to all the rubbish. In the past i have saved all the plastic spoons or forks from things that i would get they are perfect for camping, or even my daughters lunches (she brings them home to reuse as well). I always carry bags with me when i am shopping etc. Theres a grocery store that i frequent at and they are pretty eco friendly but i actually had to write the manager because more times then none if i was shopping my bags would be buried under the groceries, the cashier wouldnt even ask me if i had bags they would just assume i didnt and start bagging up in plastic bags i would then just politily  say ive got my own bags they are just buried... they would then use mine but the ones they started packing up in would get tossed. Last time this happened i got attitutude from the girl she was huffing and puffing and mubbled under her breath which i really didnt appreciate so thats when i decided to write the store... and since my letter they now ask when you get up to the till.... do you have your own bags today? haha

I try to reuse as much as i can.. but i can only go so far on things and luckly we have a great recycling program here.

Maybe these places will get the hint and I will not go for my runs and find the garbage that was thrown out windows and I can enjoy the nature around me and not the trash thrown out of the window!!.....It's disgusting, and harmful to all!!
