kind classics: natural makeup

What do you think of Arbonne??

Alicia! You should try Crazy Rumors lip balms! They have tinted and clear, super moisturizing and they come in really tasty flavors. Best of all theyre vegan!  http://crazyrumors.com/

I love bare-minerals eye make-up and the mineral veil along with blush; tarte has a great mascara and tinted moisturizer. Amazing Cosmetics are pretty natural in their make-ups as well, and a little bit goes a long way. So between these 3 different ones I’m set; and then I use your eco-tools! Love them.

Although I almost never wear make-up (sans special occasions), these are my top picks.

Loved reading your recommendations!

Ever since Alima Pure was featured here I've been using their foundation -- love, love, love their stuff!

I've been using a lot of products from 100% Pure.  I love them.  Great products and fantastic customer service.

What about 100% Pure? They do have beeswax, but I feel like that's as bad as carmine. Otherwise, their products are great, and they offer a lot of vegan items.

I live in a void of all things natural?! (Snooki has brought Jersey girls back to 1987!)  Okay, there have got to be other people around here that care about themselves if not the environment but I've had to get most things online...

I discovered Alima Pure here on your site and I love them for foundation, blush and eyeshadows ( I rarely wear anything but a little foundation but sometimes it's fun to be a girl). I absolutely love their lip balm in Rhubarb. They also let you buy samples so you can figure out your colors (each sample has lasted me over a week) and include free samples (usually eyeshadows) with your orders which is a totally fun way to try something new.  I'm a neutral kind of girl so I'd never actually buy some of the more out-there shades but I've been pleasantly surprised.

I also found Kaia House on the Kind Life and I love their face washes & masks.  I use their nail polishes but haven't tried any of their make-up.

Has anyone tried Beauty Without Cruelty mascara?  They sell it at Kaia House and I've been tempted to try it.  They have a sale going until sunday (25% off selected stuff w?code love2012)

Check out Hurraw! vegan lip balm - comes in so many flavors. I have root beer! I also love Zuzu powder foundation, Primitive Lipstick, Modern Minerals eye shadow and Peacekeeper lip gloss.

We sell many of these on my site www.lovingeco.com - where you can give discounts which is a great way to try out a new brand, as well we frequently feature samplers.

Have you tried Yes To Carrots lip balms, lip tints, and lip glosses? www.yestocarrots.com

I live in the UK and for anyone who's interested, we have Barry M, Urban Decay, Figs & Rouge. Lily Lolo, Bellapierre etc.

I can buy them here:

I actually used this list as a reference when I bought a new blush recently.  I got a Gabriel Cosmetics blush at Whole Foods, and it's the best blush I've ever used!  I'm also really like makeup, so it's saying something.

Also, I've been a huge fan of Illuminare foundation for years!  No one seems to know about it, but it's a vegan liquid mineral makeup, lasts a long time in the tube, really stays on your skin, and is reasonably priced!  Check out my blog post about it

and maybe call the company and ask if they can send you samples?  It's definitely worth checking out!

The two companies I really love most are Emani and Everyday Minerals.  Both are mineral-based makeup companies and both are 100% vegan.  Everyday Minerals offers a really extensive range of foundation colors and even offers sample kits to find your true color.  I've actually not used their foundations, but I've used their blushes and eyeshadows and love both - they are just pure, loose pigments without nasty additives.  Emani makes some lovely loose pigment eyeshadows in a range of colors and I also like their lipstick.  For a higher end product, I'd try Arbonne - I've used their products for years and they have in recent years reformulated to remove parabens and I believe they are also 100% vegan.

Thanks so much for the great list of products!  I have been doing some research lately myself on vegan makeup.  I previously used mostly Bare Minerals products but did learn that the ingredient 'carmine' is derived from a beetle so anything with that ingredient would not be vegan.  I continued with the loose powder foundation and mineral veil but replaced the blush with 'Gabriel Color' brand in the Rose shade and I like it a lot.

One thing that I have noticed lately when I use makeup is that it causes a small bumpy rash under my skin the next day.  I think because I do not use makeup very often so when I do my skin reacts.  Does anyone else have this problem and any suggestions to deal with it?  Thanks!

Thank you for the list of products! I used to break out so much and although my skin has cleared up quite a bit I still feel the need to wear some make up. I can't wait to try these products!

Thank you! This list is exactly what I was looking for. I've been vegan for four months now and I've been having a hard time finding new cosmetics to replace the gross stuff I've been using--the ingredients are often hard to come by and aren't easy to understand. I had pretty bad acne growing up and still suffer from a lot of redness, so I feel uncomfortable without something on my face. I'm hoping my diet will eventually help improve my skin to the point where I feel comfortable going without, but in the meantime I'll continue to use some sort of makeup.
