Ey! Thank you! I hope the hangover won't be too 'heavy' this year. You can btw also eat the seed from within the pit as a dry snack.
In my opinion, this tea tastes much better without the shoyu! Kukicha is my regular, go-to tea for everyday consumption. It has a rich, nutty flavour.
Where can you find these items?
the tea and shoyu are available at most health or natural food stores and the plums are for sale at amazon if you can't find them at your store
Eden Foods sells umeboshi (and umeboshi vinegar, too) and I've seen them at Whole Foods, too.
Ooops, Eden Foods sells them from their website; they also have products in many virtual and brick and mortar stores.
I haven't found the kukicha tea (I have the other ingredients) -- is there another type teat that would work in its place?
My favorite hangover cures is remebering the aweful feeling of over indulgence in prior years. So my cure would be moderation or abstinence. Its better for your kind life anyway;-) Happy New year Ya'll.
I love that tea! I also like NAC (N-Acetyl Cyseine), Vitamin C and green juice as well as fresh sliced ginger tea. Although my current preference is to lay off the booze ;)
The best way, not to get a hangover is, not to drink alcohol. That's the way i do it.
My response is going to sound very, very politically incorrect, not to mention anti-social, but why are we STILL accepting alcohol as part of a sane, healthful human life? I mean, it took goodness knows how huge of a paradigm shift to give up seeing animals as our food, isn't it time we quit thinking of alcohol as something that should be put in our bodies, as well?
Just as there isn't an acceptable, manageable amount of animal that we can eat(morally, ethically, healthfully, etc), there isnt' an acceptable, manageable amount of alcohol (or other recreational stimulant) that we can use. So why deceive ourselves that there is? Just my thought.... sigh
Oops...I'm not ducking out by writing the above post anonymously. LOL For some reason my name didn't show up! I'm Ana!
I read this in your book yesterday and really could have used it! I can't find kukicha but I drank a lot of green tea (genmaicha), and grains, and drank the carrot daikon weight loss tea with two umeboshi.
I was pleasantly suprised to find that drinking vegan wine, although I was nauseous, I wasn't dried out the way I usually am. In fact, my skin is improving every day!
it's a great idea but I don't find the kukicha tea in my town... I have to look for it soon...!
Thanks Alicia!
