kind goodies: win a back to school kit from ecotools!

I would love to win!! Almost two years ago I picked up your book the Kind Diet...The next day I was a vegetarian. I am slowly transistioning into vegan and any help I can recieve to make this transition easier would be wonderful! I am very concious of what I buy and what I eat. Changing for the better wasn't cheap, but the results are worth it. Thank you!

This is awesome!!  My fiance and I are transitioning to a Vegan diet and we feel great!!  I am also considering trading my car for a Prius to cut down on my footprint!!!!

This looks awesome! My family homeschools and this year we are planning to learn more about veggies by planting a garden of our own. We are, also, trying to eat out less and play outside as a family. We have cancelled cable tv, to try to help us not sit in front of the tv so much.

I have been on a flexatarian diet for a year now and now moving into a vegetariean diet and decied by the end of next year I would move into veganisim.  I have now starting to take the city bus to go to school and been changing all my food to organic and bought my first earth frendly butter. (sooo Good). Throughout the school year I will also help my friends chage thier diet and see how great it is. I have already started with my closeiest friend.

oh i would love to win. as a mother of a single income household its hard to afford the finer/earth concious items. although i have chatted with a few people at the farmers market, of cheaper places to buy. our local co-op is SPENDY!!!

This school year will be my more earth friendly one yet because I plan to keep using natural beauty products and I think I will be replacing my old make up brushes with fabulous earth and animal friendly ones like Eco Tools. I love to share this sort of info in my blog about natural beauty products too so I not only make these changes but help others do the same.  I am learning more about whole foods and am trying to amp up my health by eating more real natural local foods.  As always, recycle recyle recycle!

I have recently committed to a vegetarian diet with my sites set on vegan.  I joined this site after reading your book and to try to learn more about The Kind Life as a lifestyle.  This year, my childrens school lunches are completely waste free.  It is the coolest thing!  We've always recycled, of course, but with waste free lunches my children have become uber aware of the amount of waste we all create everyday.  Likewise, they are more aware of their choices, their impact and the fact that they can make a difference.  I am loving seeing this mindfulness bloom in my 8 year old twins.

These look awesome! I already strictly use ONLY eco tools for all my make-up accessories and I would LOVE to use some that you were involved in creating! This year for all my classes I've already bought all tree-friendly notebooks.  I also plan on visiting my local farmer's market.  I hadn't realized we had one so close by and I'm very excited that I've discovered one literally down the street from me!  I'm also excited to get my family on the earth friendly path by making changes around the house.  Thanks for this great line of makeup tools, they look amazing!

This year, I became a vegetarian, and I feel GREAT!!! My family eats approximately 60% vegetarian meals and I am hopeful that even more will come in the future. We have made a pledge to turn off the tech and turn up the family time by doing things like metro-gardening and shopping at the local Farmer's Market.

I'm committed to the No-Poo Movement. I've been making my own hair "smoothie" for the past week now. It's great. My hair never felt better, and I love saving on the plastic. I'm also going on my fifth week as a vegetarian with veganism on the horizon. I live for Daiya Cheese and Alicia's book. :)

Going into my second year of college, I'm planning to run for the head of a group called Students for a Sustainable Stanford and take a more active role leading its activities. Last year I was a member, helpful and obedient, but now I want to start taking charge! I'm planning on making a Smoothie-Bike project active on campus to raise awareness about energy consumption and teach people the wonders of yummy, fresh smoothies (not very superhero, but hey, they taste good).

This year is going to be so great!  I have recommitted to living a completely vegan lifestyle and feel terrific!  My daughter, who is ten, has become a vegetarian and has chosen to create a simple compost bin and study it as her science project for school.  Because she takes her meals to school everyday (in reusable, eco-friendly containers) some of her friends are even beginning to ask her about what she eats and she is educating them about her vegetarian diet!

How great is that?  Kids teaching kids!

My twins (I have four kids total), have started walking home from school with friends to save on the car trip.  This is a big deal in our neighborhood as 90% of students are picked up by their parents even though 80% live within a mile of the school.  Walking home was their idea and I think it's catching on as their group gets bigger every day!  :)

I recently celebrated my one year anniversary of being vegan!! I am currently a senior at Towson University in Maryland and my friend and I just made a new group club on campus called Towson University Advocates for Animals and the Environment.  Our group encourages people to learn about the environment and how a meat free plant based diet is the best for your health, environment and the animals.  We are attending the DC vegfest at GWU and going to poplar springs animal sanctuary in Maryland for a feed the turkeys event for Thanksgiving.  We are also starting to plan our own Greenfest at Towson next spring where we will have music and food vendors and other organizations that help promote our causes.  We are also advocating for Towson to have meatless Mondays.  I would love these tools because they are fabulous and I could really use them (can't afford anything on a college student budget)

I'll be taking classes online (saving gas money and the environment! lol) and making all my meals at home instead of ordering out!

I recently read your book from cover to cover and it has inspired me to go vegan. I am the one who does most of the cooking and grocery shopping in my house, so that means my family will be be following that plan as well. I've already started replacing my animal products w/ vegan ones & so far so good. :) Thank you for your list of suggested products, I love the Earth Balance butter and you weren't kidding about Rice Dream! In addition to eating better, I have started making some of the beauty and home care products to save on packaging. I have decided to only buy eco- friendly makeup & brushes, and your line of eye brushes is on my wish list! Thanks again for a great book and website!
