Let the juicing begin!

Hellow fellow kindlifers

I got my greenstar juicer the other day and plan to juice everything from chard, kale spinach, ginger, cabbage and all fruits.  Can't wait to get started on this cleanse. 15 day for me.  A friend of mine did it for 60 days and lost 40 lbs, doesn't drink coffee anymore no longer has headaches and high blood pressure.  That's a long time - I'll start with the standard cleanse first.  Should be easy since I've been vegetarian for 25 years now and vegan for 2.  Have any of you seen  www.fatsickandnearlydead.com  ?   I'm not overweight but am interested in doing this for health reasons.  I'm excited to use my new toy and see how it boosts my immune system, energy level etc.

Cheers,
Mark

Oh I'm following the recipes from http://jointhereboot.com/

I saw that film the other week, and it was truly inspiring.  I juice a couple of times a week, but have never tried a cleanse.  Love to hear how it goes for you.  Keep us posted!

It's going well and I'm just getting started. I still need to try beets and ginger but so far I've been juicing kale, celelry, spinach, carrrots, apples, pears and various citrus fruits.

I also make fruit smoothies through out the day with peaches, bananas, soy milk, peanut butter and blueberries.

I've always wanted to do a cleanse but I am always starving a few hours later. Especially after a hard core workout. If you have any tips please fill me in.

Good luck.

The first 2 days are the worst and you will feel hunger pains.  I make thick fruity smoothies that seem to satisfy me. Jamba Juice also has pure veggie and fruit/carrot drinks available if you are on the go.  I suggest a 5 day cleanse to start.  Like I mentioned earlier, I don't need to lose weight so a 60 day would be way too much.

Drink lots of water between juicing to help you feel full and not so hungry. After the cleanse eat veggies and non processed food for the first week. Let me know how you feel.
