lindsay wolf & kiss me, i'm vegan!
GO LINDSAY WOLF....
I am so proud of you--girl. I have only been vegan 6-mos now, so you're ahead by 1/2 a year, but that's OK. Also, congrats on your upcoming marriage. May it last forever! <kissing you> because you're vegan! LOL  Seriously, so happy for you. You GO Girl. :-)

Has anyone had a reaction to soy? I am wondering if I am eating many products with soy??????
I desperately wanted to attend - it looks like a great time was had by all! Unfortunately, I work in a hospital and I was on call that night.
I'm so happy for you and the animals!!
Please keep up the great work!
btw - oops forgot to wish you the happiest most beautiful wedding!
Congratulations!!
I reallly enjoyed reading her blog.  BUT- I couldn't bring myself to watch her video post with the little pigs.

I know that some people need to see those things to understand why we care & I know that it's good to encourage people to see them if they need it.   However, for me, I just can't watch.  :(

Thanks so much for sharing this awesome blog.  I've marked it as a fav!
That is incredible!!!
Thank you so much Alicia!! You are a constant source of inspiration, and it was truly amazing to see the positive effect you have had on so many people. :)

And thank you to everyone who wrote such kind wishes! :) I actually wrote my success story back in November - I am now happily married to a lovely vegan gentleman!

And Lindsey - I totally understand and respect your decision not to watch the video. I don't normally post those kind of videos on my blog, but after I watched it, I just felt so compelled to share it. Thank you for your support! :)
i just watched the pig farm movie-so sad, i cried.  what i don't understand about these places is the workers.  how can you get up every morning & go to work at these places?  how can you possibly become numb?  even if you think pigs are for us to eat-smashing the baby pigs off the doorway?  that is just evil right there.  i just can not comprehend....
Thanks Alicia for recognizing Lindsay's awesomeness! She is one of my dear friends and deserves all the praise people give her. The event she put together for Farm Sanctuary and Woodstock Farm Sanctuary (Rock it Out! which was featured on this blog) was simply fantastic. One of the most enjoyable evenings I've had in a very long time. Thanks again for mentioning Lindsay for her fabulous activism for animals!
QUESTION... Is it OK for men to eat a lot of soy? I've heard mixed things about that saying that soy contains estrogen and can cause infertility in men. Is this true?
Thank you for sharing this blog. I watched the undercover investigation of the pig farm and that was one of the hardest videos I have had to watch. I sobbed as I watched it, but I'm glad I made myself sit through it. I'm only in my second week of being vegan and I was SO tempted when I ate out with friends tonight. Now I'm SO glad I didn't eat any meat tonight. Watching this video just reminded me of one of the reasons I am doing this and re-energizes my willpower. I cannot watch this video and then eat meat knowing the cruelty that went into the process. How can anyone? Those baby pigs were so cute, and those animals truly felt pain. You could hear it, you could see it. I wish more people would be willing to open their eyes to the meat industry and face the reality of the true cost of what America eats every day.
I LOVE YOU ALL FOR CARING SO MUCH!
AND LINDSAY CAME BACKSTAGE WITH HER HUSBAND THE OTHER DAY...AND I LOVED HER!!! THEY WERE BOTH SO SWEET AND SMART AND LOVELY...MY MOM LOVED THEM TOO!
AND LINDSAY SAYS SHE HAS BEEN VEGAN FOR ALMOST 2 YEARS NOW...
STAY TUNED FOR HER BLOG ABOUT HER WEDDING....

Alicia and Lindsay,

I wanted to Thank both of you ladies for being inspiring. I started on my journey of exploring healthier food options. Like you, I grew up eating meat and not paying any mind to all of those gorgeous fruits and veggies.

I can't tell you what swayed my decision to change. Honestly, it was something organic inside me that wanted change. I've done a lot of research on vegetarian and vegan lifestyles these last eight months. I feel so much better and lighter now and you're right Alicia, it's in and out of the bathroom. Gotta love it, besides the feeling of well being. I ordered the Kind Diet, read it from front to back and proceeded to try my first recipe. I cooked the collard greens and used craisins and roasted sunflower seeds. I marinated some tofu with shoyu, garlic and a spicy chili sauce then I baked it. The greens on top of some brown rice mixed with quinoa and the tofu was Incredible.

Your recipes are so easy, yet bountiful and delicious! Thanks again and Lindsay, I will be checking out your blog.

Lindsey-
Hey, Since I'm from NY- keep me updated on fundraisers and all your doing I may just join you and help in supporting all your efforts- and spread the word to all around me!!
Alicia - we loved you too!!! :) You are just one of the most amazing human beings! And my husband, Steve, and I completely agreed that you are hands down one of the best listeners we've ever met - you listen with so much presence and depth, and that is such a refreshing thing to be around. :) And your mom was so beautiful and nice!! I am so happy to have gotten to cross paths with you, and I'm even more excited to cross paths again in the future. :)
