m café’s vegan benedict recipe!

OMG....That sounds so amazing, I will definitely try this one!!! Mmmmm...Now I am hungry..By the way the grapeseed oil Veganaise (with the purple label)  is by far the best in my opinion, I eat it every single day and it can make any meal into magic....

Alicia, I love your mochi waffles for a weekend treat! I just might have to add this one to the list.

Oh M Cafe would you please open in Paris, France ? S'il vous plaît? :) Looks amazing!!!

PS Alicia, lots more vegan options in Paris now

(many on my blog http://lafleurdeparis.blogspot.com/)

When are you coming to visit us here in France ? :)

oh woooow! i want to eat this right now!! lol! i also have a new beau who i'm trying to get to eat at least mostly vegan (not willing to go full vegan... for now) because he has high cholesterol. i'm sure he would definitely not mind eating this instead of the egg version!

Thank you thank you thank you!!!

This looks absolutely amazing, I am so hungry now, and want to make it now!!

holy crap that looks amazing!  I know what I'm making for brunch tomorrow!

Oh Alicia - my that looks so yummy!  As I eat my dried toast.

@Michelle be patient with your new beau he'll come around.  Since he has his own health challenges he will be looking for safer alternatives.

This looks really, really amazing yum.   Alicia can you please thank m cafe for this delish dish.  Wish they'd open here in Ontario, Canada.  Save a forkful for us. Hugs Susan

Wow!  This looks like a decadent treat.  Maybe I will go to  M Café and eat it there before making it myself...lots of work, but I am sure it is worth it

Mmmmmmmm... I've been craving eggs benedict so badly during this pregnancy..... but I haven't given in! So this recipe is a godsend! haha... I'm so excited to make it!!!! :) I might just eat the hollandaise with a spoon.... haha :)

Have you tried the reduced calorie/fat Veganaise? It's also very very good! This recipe sounds so decadent and delish! I would have to go easy on the sauce, though, since I'm not pregnant! Maybe some plain soy yogurt can be subbed for some of the margarine and mayo. I'm the queen of that substitution! Thanks so much for posting the recipe!

Mmh, M Café's vegan benedict is indeed scrumptious!! LOVE IT!

I really hate to do this - I don't want to spoil your treat  - but I just read the tempeh bacon recipe (I've always wanted to recreate it) and saw it has liquid smoke in it. So I researched "liquid smoke" in German, since I just returned to Germany after 4 years in Los Angeles and don't know where to get any, and within the first 5 hits on Google I found a report (http://www.efsa.europa.eu/en/press/news/cef100108.htm) by the European Food Safety Authority that basically said they "could not rule out concerns regarding possible genotoxicity" of a number of liquid smoke products.... ewww.

I am sure there is no reason to worry about miniature amounts, but especially since you're pregnant, I thought I need to share.

Alexandra,

Liquid smoke flavoring is made from water and smoke concentrate, so it does contain PAHs, but studies have found that the amount of PAHs contained in the small quantity of flavoring each person would use is insignificant.  So insignificant that sitting by a campfire or cooking over an open flame causes greater risk for illness from it.

My concern is availability of ingredients.  I live in ON, Canada and some of the items in your recipes are challenging to locate locally. Anyone else have similar challenges? I've referred your site to 3 Ontarian friends today that are vegans or have vegans in their families.  Thanks, Susan
