I made this recipe yesterday and mine too was more cereal than granola. Despite this, it was delicious. My kids absolutely loved it. We ate it simply with soy milk and fruit. I think they ate 3 bowls each! I have pics of the recipe at my Kind Diet blog.

I think you would have to increase the sugary ingredients to get it to clump together like traditional granola. Since my kids are happy as is, I think I'll just leave it alone.
