my amazing friend tevia

Wonderful story!  Thanks for sharing!

What an inspiration. Thank you for sharing her story with us.

Wow! This woman is incredible.  I  L-O-V-E this story, Alicia.   Thank you for sharing!!

"She is sexy up there with her passion, committment & force."  <-- That's just awesome. :)

I've been following the Kind Diet since April because I wanted to feel better.  It's been a true blessing because in June I began having sympotoms of MS.  I believe the sympotoms would be a lot worst if I wasn't following the life style.  I am currently going through the process to determine if I actually have the disorder.  It's been hard and I really want to be heal.  I can't wait to read and find out more about Dr. McDougall's research.

Thank you, Alicia for really caring!

I second Kate's sentiments :)  Awesome!!

I've been taking her class for about two weeks now and she is really amazing.  Her class is hard but worth every sweat.  Tevia has a clam, sweet, yet edgy and demanding vibe which is why she's so great at teaching spin. Certain days her class is PACKED and you need to reserve a spot days ahead.

Spinning gives me motivation to stay healthy and amazingly, with the combination of the Kind Diet and working out (spinning and bootcamp), I've quit smoking! Thanks Alicia and Tevia.

TEVIA come to NYSC in Smithtown, NY!!  We need someone like you!!

Allright Tevia!  And Alicia too.  I also have MS, diagnosed in January 1996. I have been bucking the system since October 2000 when I decided to stop taking the interferon injections the neurologists are pushing so hard on us.  I knew they were making me worse. I suffered on them for a whole year.  To appease the neuros I agreed to take copaxone shots daily instead. I have done that for 10 years now.  I don't know if they work, but at least they apparently aren't hurting anything.  I have been managing my symptoms and strength with supplements prescribed by an Integrative Med MD for the last 5 years. I believe they help. In February of this year I went vegan, and have never felt better!  I believe the search for a cure for MS is on the wrong track. The point shouldn't be to disable our immune systems, but rather to assist them in behaving correctly.  Please let me know if I can help your goals in any way, Tevia.  Thank you for spearheading a movement it seems I can believe in! -- Cheryl http://midlifevegan.blogspot.com

Thanks, Jane :)

My dentist told me he did "spinning" and i was not sure what he was talking about.... i thought he was spinning yarns or something....

Hope in a cure for MS(w/o involuntary) animal experimentation)

wow....thank you all so much for yur kind words.  i miss you Alicia....come home!!!!

Thanks for the shout out, especially the "young" woman part. You and Tevia are both so amazing, and have inspired me so much in so many positive ways!

While stories about animal and ecological abuses inspired me to become vegan for the planet, stories such as Tevia's inspired me to switch to a plant-based diet for my health. Two years ago I was diagnosed with lymphedema in my right leg. Though not life-threatening, it's a condition in which malfunctioning/blocked lymphnodes cause painful and unsightly swelling (my left leg was a noticeable 20% bigger than my right). The emotional, psychological, and financial toll this condition has taken on my life (I'm a college student as well, as if I need any more stress haha) has resulted in many more angst-filled pity parties than I'd like to admit. Since reading "The Kind Life" and becoming vegan, my physical therapy has been given a huge boost. I'm proud to say that my left leg has gone down to 9% larger and shrinking! It's like I've fallen in love with my body all over again. Thank you so much for making this holistic, healthy, and yummy information available to active people with chronic conditions! If anyone has more information about lymphatic disorders and non-invasive treatments, please let me know.

This is such an inspiring story, reading that she has MS makes me only want to do more and be better for myself, because I can relate. I don't have MS, but I have a condition called Cerebral Palsy, so thank you Alicia so much for posting this!
