Wow--to think that after 64 years you could step out of what is an unconscious habit (eating) for a lot of people is amazing! I used to think it was pointless to try and get people of that age to turn vegan because they just wouldn't want to change their habits and lifestyle after so long. This story gives me hope and proves me wrong! Thank you. :)

Congratulations!  My goal in life is to live entirely medication free.  I think it's crazy that people have to take so many pills and suffer their side effects.  I'm all about eating as healthy as I can if I can reach this goal.  This is a really inspiring story and makes me hopeful for the future.  Thanks for sharing!

Thank you so much for this.  I have just begun on my journey to the Kind Life and as a good ol meat-eating Texas gal for the passed 38 years, it has not been easy.  Especially with little support from my meat-devouring Texas friends.  Luckily I have lots of supportive SOCAL buddies in my life.  Keep up the great work.  Reading your story reinforces why I am doing this....

That's such a sweet touching story. 

What I love about this story is his reason - he consciously recognized the direct and indirect harm he was inflicting on animals WITHOUT having anyone else preach to him. He connected those beautiful animals that became his friends to his food - most cannot do that!
