Chips are always good, you could use sweet potatoe or potatoe.
Vegan jelly made with agar agar instead of gelatine.
Fruit - bananas, lychees, mangoes or whatever is in season where you are.

Thanks for the advice! I ended up having chips & salsa, hummus & pita, fruit (grapes, strawberries & blackberries), a vegetable tray with a poppy seed dressing for dip, banana & peanut butter sandwhiches for the kids (cut in cute shapes) & cucumber/cream cheese (vegan of course) sandwhiches for the adults! If you would like the recipe I could give it to you! They were a hit!
Oh, and also had boxes of raisins for the kiddos!
