I went to the local whole foods and asked one of the guys who works in the dietary needs section about this. He said that there is a certain acid (clutamine) that we need for our muscles to feel better after an intense work out. I aslo asked him if he was a vegetarian/ vegan and he said yes. He reccomended Vega because it has esentials that everyone needs and is Vegan.
My husband did some research and it turns out that there are about four things we need after a work out: Electrolytes, Omegas, Sugar and protein. He found a great recipe online that calls out for hemp powder, bananas and tofu. I haven't tried it yet. It makes a pudding.
But I did find a premade drink in the refridgeration section: Sambazon Protein.

I'm going to try it everyday this week after my workout and see how I feel on Sunday(recovery day.)
I'm still looking for a drink that I can make at home without powders. That would be way better then anything pre-processed.
