I learned it as, "If at first you don't succeed, try again." Unfortunately, I've had trouble taking that remark to heart. Apparently, I'd rather feel regret than embarassment.

Also, it can depend on how badly you want something (job, for example) AND how persistant you are! When I retired from the Air Force I really, really wanted another career in Civil Service as the pay was great AND it also offered (another) retirement at the end of the road. I kept applying and kept getting turned down--for almost 2 years! Then, I finally got a hit, and kept that cushy job over 22 years before retiring (2nd time) and getting yet another retirement salary! So, my advice to EVERYONE who truly wants something--or someone is to: BE PERSISTANT. NEVER GIVE UP! And, Never take NO as a forever answer! Lastly, never think you're less than anyone else! We're really all the same!!

I needed that.  I was recently effected by NJ teacher layoffs and am super upset with the new school year here.  It's tough not setting up a classroom when you've been doing it for the passed 4 years.  So, I'm taking the time I have off and going BACK to grad school to get another type of certification.  Keep in mind that I already have my masters, and have two different certs already...I just thought that I wouldn't sit and sulk, but do something about it!  Use time WISELY!  And in the process, get in shape! 

Suzannah's motto is so true...

On that same line, I wonder myself if you ever read de private message I sent you, and I did not get any answer... just curious. Maybe, no, right now...
