Perfect for winter! Yum.

This is my absolute favorite winter dish!  As suggested in your book, I change up the veggies.  Sometimes I garnish my nishime with a drizzle of Flax Oil and Gomasio.  Yum! :)

Perfect for this snowy weather in CT. Making it asap!

I LOVE lotus root.  My father-in-law makes a soup with it all the time and we all lovingly fight over the lotus.  So good!

I have never tried that recipe (how is that possible?), but will now.

I love roasted vegetables. They are so tasty and hearty. Brussels sprouts and delicata squash are two favorites.

I want to thank Alicia Silverstone whom I met in 2002 and she taught me everything I now about vegan and raw organic foods! She totally opened up my mind and expanded my horizons I even got to have a Raw Organic Vegan dinner with the Red Hot Chili Peppers! From this point on with my new knowledge that Alicia taught me I invented 200+ totally new raw organic and vegan recipes and then self published them in 2005 it became so popular and a instant bestseller I opened up my own restaurant, sold it moved back to LA and got my Eco Chef App for the iPhone & iPad then now my new major publishing deal with 208 full color glossy Raw Star Recipes Organic Meals, Snacks & Desserts In 10 Minutes which just WON THE #1 Best Vegetarian/Vegan Cookbook in the USA Award 2012 by The Gourmand World Cookbook Awards!!! Talk about affecting positive change wow THANK YOU ALICIA!!! She is a true leader, innovator and really cares about your health and that of the planet! this looks amazing! can't wait to try it out!

Adzuki bean with kabocha squash!

It's funny that my comfort foods are also macrobiotic foods.  I love soba noodles with tahini sauce, and almost lived on that when I was pregnant.  Another food that really comforts me is miso soup.  uh, oh, I think I know what I am having for lunch.

this looks so good, and is perfect for our rainy California weather

This looks amazing! Ive always wanted to try lotus root in a recipe.

I like this pumpkin miso soup with tempeh and kale on cold winters day

I can't find lotus root or lotus root powder anywhere...i've tried whole foods and a natural food store we have here but no luck...any suggestions?

If you can't find lotus root in your natural food stores, try an Asian grocery store.  I just bought some at a Walmart Supercentre of all places.

Amazing! I had this at a New Year's Day celebration at a Buddhist temple and LOVED it!!!!

I, personally, love the pan-fried mochi. Thanks so much for turning me on to it!
