I made these cookies last week for the 1st time ... my husband, a cop (hello donut city!) ... took some to work. His partner for the day tasted one and announced "This is seriously the best cookie I've ever tasted!" ... if that doesn't proove that vegan cookies (desserts) can be just as delicious I don't know what does! :) I made another batch today ... maybe I will share ... I'm not sure yet ... ;)))

I made two batches yesterday and they are unbelieveable! My husband is probably the toughest oatmeal cookie hubby and he
was all about them as was my whole family! I did use oat flour and for one small batch added chx chips! My 13month old twins even loved them... w/o the walnuts and raisins for them!I told my yoga class that I would bring a batch in for them after practice next week!
d :)))
The batch I made 2 days ago are gone already! LOL ... I am going to make another batch today ... my husband looooves them! I love that they are so easy to make.

its funny though, my first batch, or the first half of the batter was so much easier to ball,,, then the sec half was so much messier and harder to work with when putting on the tray..... same thing happened sec batch! I also used org brown sugar for one batch and turbinado for the sec. i didn't have maple sugar... u?
i did use maple sugar and it's sooo good. i know it's a bit of a splurge but totally worth it ... it adds a little extra crunch to the cookies ... same with the peanut butter cups recipe. i just finished making the strawberry ketan ... it's setting in the fridge right now. :)
So good. I made them a little small and yielded 15 cookies. I think they are great for breakfast! I plan on baking another batch REAL soon!
Same thing here ... only get about 12-15 cookies ... I think I'm going to double the ingredients next time ... I love these cookies so much!
divine! i made these cookies gluten-free, as well, and they were great. also used non-quick cook oats, which added some extra chewiness. my vegan-skeptical co-workers couldn't get enough of them :)
Where can I find the recipe?
The recipe's in Alicia's book!
Ooooh Helen that is a good idea! I'm going to try that next time. :)
mmmm, one of my favorite recipes in the book! First time I made them they didn't make it through the weekend (yeah, and I was the one eating them all!). Second time I made them for Easter and they were a big hit with the non-vegan family!
I just made these cookies this afternoon, and they are awesome. I made mine with whole wheat pastry flour, Medjool dates, and also added some grain-sweetened chocolate chips and then pulsed the walnuts in my food processor and made them into a powder. They are definitely delicious.
Made these this afternoon, and they totally rock!
Just made these, and they are so yummy! I used organic cane sugar as maple sugar is definitely not in my budget and used raisins and almonds. I also threw in some flax seeds. They are a bit crumbly and messy and a bit hard to put onto the cookie tray but definitely delicious!
