Wow, so cool! Think of how many people you've influenced to make a postive change in their life that not only affects them, but also the whole world! Especially talented women like these that can use their newfound superpowers to be even better at what they do! :) Makes me hope maybe one day little ol me can influence even one person. :) Keep being a bright and shining light, Alicia!
That is awesome. I know what it's like to be "out on the job" and not have vegan food available to eat even though food is available for everyone else. (that's usually when I pack my own) I would be so thrilled as well to have not just vegan food, but delicious vegan food like this available while on location.
Wow that is cool that they are in Santa Fe...i am in lbuquerque. I will have to keep my eyes peeled for them.
Good for them!! My wish is that more and more people will come to realize that they can stop going to the Doctor and start looking after their health!!
I want to try these so bad. Where to buy it? In the produce section? Vegan meat section? I have made so many recipes from the book and not one of them disappoint! Someday Alicia, I'd love to meet you in person and cook something, anything with you from your book!
Hugs! ~Lisa
I have yet to try the mochi, which I should do :). I made the peanut butter cups though and they were to die for!
Thats great! I am loving The Big C! Laura is a superb actress!
I love the Mochi! Not a huge fan of peanut butter, but my boyfriend and I make the Mochi (baked usually though we have done it pan fried as well like in Alicia's book) with soy butter melted over it, brown rice syrup and some agave nectar. Best dessert EVER!!!! (:
This is so great! It makes me sooo happy that TKL recipes are spreading around like crazy. It really is a huge kind community! I really like Olivia Wilde's blog/website and Laura Linney is outta this world fantastic as far as I'm concerned. Alicia, you are magically inspiring. :)
oh im obsessed with the Pan Fried Mochi!!! YUMMMM!!!
I haven't tried the fried mochi yet... should try those soon
am a huuuuuuge fan of the chocolate peanut butter cups though! :)
btw love olivia wilde!
Just made the mochi tonight :) I've been reading your book & stocking up my cupboards & will be going Superhero on Monday but haven't managed to resist trying a couple of recipes, loved the roasted lotus root, artichoke and leek (even though I did 'caramilise' it a little) :) the mochi was lovely though, I used a little too much oil for my taste but loved the chewy, sticky texture and watching them cook/ morph in the pan! :)
I've only seen (& enjoyed) Olivia in a couple of things (I'm a delayed lover of 'House' thanks to Hallmark & her presence) but since finding out about her veganisim & her charity work through her website I love her to bits, she definately makes my list of super cool ladies, along with yourself of course Miss Alicia :) & I've thought very highly of Linely's acting for awhile now also, is she vegan/ veggie or just dabbling? Plus cheers for the heads up of a movie with wilde AND THE Rockwell, I just may have to get me some of that! :) x
Lisa,
I found the mochi in the vegan meat section at whole foods. Right next to the tofu.
I just tried the mochi last night. It took longer to cook then I expected, but was really good. My children loved it!
