...and make the crispy peanut butter treats IMMEDIATELY. I am trying to work the Superhero angle, so I didn't add the chocolate chips (plus I don't really like chocolate...sorry peeps). Anyway...they're DELICIOUS. I was just eating the mixture out of the bowl before even putting it in a pan! WHUT? Oh brother! They are like...the best rice krispie treats you'll ever eat. Only BETTER.

Go make them. Why are you still reading??

I COMPLETELY AGREE!!!!

My boyfriend is a HUGE peanut butter fan so I just made these for him (i think I may end up eating most of them)

The only thing is that they totally didn't set up into bars....I just put a "bar" into a bowl and we ate is with a spoon haha.

I put them in the fridge last night and they set up though.
DELISH
I also agree! These are absolutely amazing...almost hard to believe they aren't bad for you - yay!!
Really? Everyone raves about these, but I didn't think they were so great. Not actually crispy, more chewy and kind of hard to chew. I felt like a dog that had gotten hold of bubble gum. Flavor was okay and for a superhero treat they are definitely worth it, but I just wasn't as in love with these as so many of you seem to be. :(
I made these a couple weeks ago and they were pretty darn delicious!
Sweet!  I just got back from the store with all of the ingredients!  :)
I loved them!  I used to make a similar peanut butter rice crispy treat with brown rice syrup/corn syrup & refined sugar.  My sweetie said they were ok, but he liked that sugary kind better :(
I made these last night with a chopped up carob soya bar - I can't even guess how much of this yummy mixture I ate before pressing the rest of into the pan - it's pretty darned delicious, set or not, warm or cold . . . and I'm enjoying a small piece now for breakfast dessert(!) - but the amount of brown rice syrup was a little scary - is it really an "OK" enough sweetener to eat on this scale - even if it's only for a treat?
Agree, these are so delicious!!!
Here is my beef with these guys - they are def good - but I felt they were too sweet.  I'm going to try using about half of the brown rice syrup next time.  Second - the entire recipe is over 5,600 calories!!! And considering they are so good that no one seems to be able to resist eating straight from the bowl - this is one dangerous item!

Yikes so how many calories in just one? How can that not be bad for you?

Ame, I guess you & I are the only ones who didn't like, mine were sooo chewy in a bad way! The raw balls are much better. But, i've done about 12 recipes since reading tkd a couple months ago and all the rest were completely amazing! I could only find the rice puffs in a bag, maybe it was too much puffs!

I saw a post a while back where someone added 1 cup oats to the recipe...I would imagine that would make it a little better in consistency and less sweet.

I LOVE these and I've made them three times. I always make half the recipe so my ingredients go further and put it in a 13x9 pan. They are delicious.
