Hi-Does anyone have a recommendation for a good organic crib mattess? I've been looking at the Naturepedic one but it's really expensive $259! Has anyone had any luck finding a good organic crib mattress that's cheaper?

hey there,
i have a naturepedic mattress for my son and we love it! well, i'm guessing he does, only because he's slept through the night since we transferred him over at 4.5 mos old........he's now 21 mos and never had an issue with it......mine was a little more expensive (the one that's $299, but i forget which one that specifically is, and since he's sleeping right now i can't check!) its well worth the money, i feel.......we are really tight for cash, but i remember thinking when we were registering that babies sleep at least 12-15 hrs a day on this, and it should be the best quality....after all, wouldn't you want the best, most comfy bed if you slept that long (ahh, how nice that thought is.....sigh.) the top is waterproof, which is great when there is some wetness from a leaky dipe or a spit up.........doesn't happen often, but when it does, it doesn't really matter if it went through the sheet..........
since kids are in cribs for about 2 years at least before transferring to a toddler bed, the cost of the mattress would be at $.33 a day :)

Organic crib mattresses don’t have to be expensive – I got mine on aBaby.com. It’s filled with organically processed cotton (100 percent) and has an organic latex waterproof cover. It’s 24 inches by 38 inches and 3 inches in height. I think you can get one made to custom size, as well.
