mmm this looks delicious, such a pretty color!! i am so excited for my first american thanksgiving! (i'm Canadian and now live in New York City)
This looke phenomenal. My favorite cranberry sauce is one that my mother used to make every year (and I now make). It is so simple too...
1 bag cranberries, about 2-3 times more sliced pairs, 1 cup OJ, 1 cup apple juice, and sweetener to taste (I usually use either maple syrup, coconut sugar, or sucanat). Cook until all cranberries have popped and the pears are very soft. So good!

Looks very yummy, I may try this recipie this year! I also am so happy to find this recipie in your book. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!!
I recently tried this new (to me) recipe for the APRL Turkey-free thanksgiving in San Diego (fabulous yearly event!). It's raw and so so good and super easy! Have a great Thanksgiving!
Raw Cranberry Orange Sauce
from Jillian of PCRM
1 bag of cranberries
3 oranges
8 dates (or to taste)
Just mix everything up in the blender. These were the proportions I used but feel free to adjust it to your taste!
I have two, this unusual cranberry chutney with Indian spices: http://reciperenovator.com/special-diets/vegan/healthy-recipes-cranberry-chutney-gluten-free/ and this cranberry-jalapeno-persimmon sauce: http://reciperenovator.com/special-diets/vegan/cranberry-jalapeno-persimmon-chutney-gluten-free-sugar-free/. Enjoy and thanks for sharing your wonderful recipes and love for the planet!
Here's Emeril Lagasse's which I can never get enough of....I think it's the Port that makes this super yummy. Feel free to substitute agave, raw sugar or turbinado sugar.
2 cups cranberries, Juice & chopped zest of one orange, 1/4 c. Port, 1/4 - 1/2 c. sugar (depends on how sweet you like it, 1/2 cup is too sweet for me), 1/2 tsp cinnamon, 1 Tablsp. cornstarch
In a small saucepan combine cranberries, orange juice & zest, port, sugar & cinnamon. Bring to a boil, reduce heat to simmering & cook until cranberries are tender, stirring occasionally. In a small cup make a slurry w/cornstarch & 1 Tablsp water. Whisk cornstarch mixture into cranberry sauce & cook, whisking until sauce thickens. Taste & add more sugar if necessary.
So easy and so yum. The photo is gorgeous too!
Oh wow I love all the recipes people are leaving mmmm cranberry sauce is one of my favorite side dishes.
Add 1 bag of candied ginger, chopped. After cooking. You'll love it!
This cranberry sauce is one of my favorite Thanksgiving recipes. It makes me sad that the turkey will be there. :( Still, I'm thankful I have family to spend it with!
