So, for the flirts... Have you heard of Quorn? I found it at Whole Foods (chicken breasts, ground beef, meatballs, etc.) & it's super good!  It's a great non-soy option & my non-flirting (except with me) husband usually can't even tell it's not meat!

So here's the question... Have you guys heard of this stuff? Is it cool? I know it's microprotein made from fungi in vats (not actual mushroom product) & the FDA delayed it's approval for the U.S., but it seems fine to me.  (Less allergies than soy, etc.)  Input y'all?

thanks!

Quorn - is an amazing product. Low fat, low calorie, and sooo chicken-like and tasty, your friends would never know the difference.  It's can be found in most stores in the natural foods sections. They sold billions in Europe and it's relatively new in the US.  It's definately safe and much better tolerated than soy or shellfish.

Quorn contains egg and is not suitable for vegans - at least in the UK.

I've never eaten Quorn; I found this response by John Robbins (author of The Food Revolution) before I had ever even heard of it and never touched the stuff::

Plus, like Aine says, most products have egg and some have dairy in them.
